Mensa® Sudoku

Each puzzle is a challenge. No one star, two star or three star levels. All are 4 or 5. Much more interesting. Also quality of the paper makes it easier to see and reduces the indentations or bleeding ink on back of each page.

I agree with others who say these aren’t very challenging. There is very little difference in difficulty between the first pages’ puzzles and the last. But they work for me; now ordering my eighth volume. Two things I appreciate: durable, smooth paper; and legible type. The more I can write like the printed numbers, the easier for me to see the overall puzzle.

Many reviewers have complained that these puzzles are not mensa caliber. I certainly think they were designed by a mensa quality person. As you solve the puzzles you will see they often become completed in patterns. I do these puzzles to relax and clear my mind of all. I don't want an extremely difficult puzzle that takes me 10 minutes to find one number. I have too much stress in me already. I don't want a puzzle that I have to what I call "cheat" and put possible answers in each box. I want a puzzle that I can do holding all the options in my head and be successful. This book fits my needs exactly. All the puzzles are not extremely easy or hard. All 500 puzzles are just right. Don't let any of the other reviews make you feel bad about choosing a less extreme puzzle book. Relax and enjoy these puzzles. I know I am.

Yes, this is the 9th time ordering this book. My first order was over 10 years ago. I’m an average problem solver (IMHO). I appreciate that the puzzles are well thought out. They don’t feel computer generated likemany books I’ve tried.

This particular Sudoku book along with Easy-To-Hard Mensa are my favorites .. I’ve been working them for over 20 years .. I’ve tried so many different kinds and Keep getting these same ones .. I can’t remember 500+ puzzles from book to book .. I just tossed 10 finished books into the recycling bin .. They do not go on sale too often but if they do I get several ..

I dont mind the puzzles being relatively easy. They are fun to solve and dont require guessing forward. Some are able to solve without pencil marks.I think it is worth the money.

Sudoku is my addiction, and these are outstanding examples that keep me engaged and coming back for more.

So I am very new to sudoku. It's one of the many new hobbies I'm trying to adopt during lockdown. When purchasing this, I forgot that MENSA is supposed to be for the super smart and initially struggled long and hard over these puzzles. The introductory tutorial is fantastic, and after spending about 2+ hours per puzzle, I've now gotten the rhythm of sudoku and can complete in under an hour.Give this a go if you really want to challenge yourself and bleed away a few weekend hours.

Not challenging. I was able to get them straight out without having to employ strategies

Why it’s “MENSA”? Even the ‘toughest ‘ puzzles are so easy. Very disappointed
