I bought a new TV5 from another seller for economic reasons. It works fine, but I read that the bowl material can wear out quickly if used with coarse grit for Step #1 . Some suggested getting an additional bowl to use for the polishing steps. Sounds like a good idea to conserve the bowl and also helps with cleaning between steps. This bowl seems to be identical to the original TV5 bowl. Although I don't agree with some comments that the bowl is made with cheap plastic, it probably is not as sturdy as the rubber ones used on rotary tumblers and more expensive vibrator tumblers. Note that the rubber nuts shown in the catalog picture are not included with the purchase of this bowl. However, they can be purchased separately from the manufacturer.

Bought as a second polishing bowl. Lid fits tight and everything is perfect.It would have been nice if it came with a rubber nut but its not a big deal.

This is replacing a similar item which eventually wore out due to the top coming loose, causing the bowl to spin, wearing out the spindle, rubber nut and causing the holes to enlarge. The bowl is nice, but it DOES NOT come with the spindle and rubber nut as pictured. Fortunately I could turn the spindle upside down and I had a rubber washer & wing nut and that worked.

Great product. Replacement for my old battered one. Shame you can't just buy the lid.

It looks and feels like one of the original bowls that came with my machine. I had to trim the plastic from the hole in the lid because I couldn't get it on the machine. Not a big deal. I will, however, need to find something to seal the lid to the bowl because it leaks. No matter how tight I make the nut, it leaks around the rim of the bowl. It does work though, the price was good and I like having a 3rd bowl to dedicate a different grit to each one.
