Rustic Floating Mountable Wood Shelf, Antique, Pine, 30" X 6" X 2"

My husband purchased this shelf for our kitchen and I’m in love with it! It is sturdy, fits perfectly in the space, and added much needed storage on a kitchen wall. Before purchasing, just note that you need to have the proper tools to properly mount it and drill through the thin metal bracket. But overall I would definitely recommend this shelf!!

I was looking for unique floating shelves that didn't look like they came from a big box store. These appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. I ordered two 30" shelves which in the product description photo appeared to be reddish-brown and monotone in color. The shelves I received were no where near that--they were very striped, with dramatic contrast between the pine wood and dark markings. The seller was very responsive and did attempt to find something that would work for me, but all the pictures I saw (even of their "mocha" color) seemed to have more dramatic markings than what I wanted or what was shown in the pictures I based my purchase off of. I liked the rustic, reclaimed-like texture of the shelves so I kept them and just stained them to the exact color I wanted. If I wasn't a DIY kind of gal they would have been returned. As far as installation, it went smoothly but I can't say I'm a huge fan of the metal L bracket method they use, mainly because it was time consuming to do additional marking and prep drilling.

I liked the way it looks on the wall with the items on it. I wished it had a more wood look. But I do like it.

I don't write a lot of reviews, but this is well worth it.1. There are very good and complete instructions. One must look at the packing label on the outside of the box.2. The metal is very strong. Ours is holding very heavy items and is absolutely solid.3. We ordered 3. Each is uniform. Work perfectly well together.This is an excellent item. Met all expectations, perhaps exceeded them, but I have high expectations. One must read the directions and follow them for the product to meet expectations. The shelf itself is extremely well made. The hand-scraped, distressed finish looks very good and fits the price point of the item. Where things fall short is the mounting hardware. I've hung many floating shelves, nearly all employ a securing system of some type. This shelf rests of a light gauge metal L bracket, which you screw into the wall. The only thing securing the shelf is the friction between the metal tab of the L bracket which inserts into a slot on the back of the shelf. I don't trust the design and will be trying to makeshift something sturdier over the coming weekend. I'm sure I'll find what I need at the local hardware store, but I expected more at this price point... even cheap target shelves secure much better

These shelves exceeded my expectations. I am using them as decorative shelves in my kitchen. They are sturdy and stunning! If you are looking for the old barn wood style, I highly recommend these. I bought 2 and they are a perfect color match.

I bought 1 large shelf & 2 smaller shelfs to dress up the empty space behind my flat screen TV. They look awesome & I get lots of compliments!
