A must own, for all visually creative people. The artwork and talent it takes for this man to create the masterpieces that he does, is inspiring and amazing!

First off it should be noted that Amazon.com's description is somewhat misleading. This is, by no stretch, a 'how-to' book on blending practical and digital effects. Mr. Serkeris only occasionally mentions specific digital tools and how he has used them. He is very generous, however, in giving the reader a peak at his design process and how he designs creatures to accommodate a variety of technologies. The creature designs themselves are exactly what you'd expect from a seasoned talent: beautiful, imaginative, and technically stunning.

I will have to say I was mostly getting this book to enjoy Mr. Sekeris' work, but after going through it and readying the descriptions its awesome that he tells you exactly what he did to get the effect he was looking for. I also love how you get to get into his head about all the designs he was doing. This book is a must if you love SFX and a great learning book too.

Many reference about creature!Some of the creatures in this book if compare with the human proportion!Very good book for creature study!
