To the people who don't know this is a model and not a toy. To even get a remote looking product on the box, requires skill, determination and imagination. You will need glue, paint, and weathering media to get a desired looking model.Fast shipping, was exactly what I wanted. Quality of the product is standard to Italeri maybe a little better in my kit as I have not seen a lot excess mold or seam lines. Have not put it together as I am working on a diorama for my son. But I will update if the quality or process is unsatisfactory.

The box was a little wavy but the model inside was fine. Gave it to my buddy’s dad as a gift. He loves models. According to the reviews it takes some effort so I wouldn’t recommend gifting this to someone who isn’t experienced with these.

So this is my first kit from Italeri, as I learn which companies I prefer. The first thing I noticed was the relatively low parts count, compared to the tanks I’ve been building since Christmas. This was kind o nice. Overall, the parts cut loose from the sprues at a less than optimal consistency than Tamiya, but that’s ok.The cool thing about this kit is the in-box customization. You have the decals for either the British or US version of the ambulance, which is cool. I checked to see if the stretcher placement was historically accurate, after seeing stretchers mounted across the hoods of these vehicles in TV/movies, and yeah, it checks out. I opted to leave the front stretcher off and use the extra parts for something else.At the end of the day, I give it a 7/10, probably wouldn’t make another one unless I decide to do a field hospital diorama in the future.

The Italeri jeep has been around since the seventies. At the time, it was the best kit around : Tamiya's was off dimensionally and Heller's featured some toylike detailing. Although it has since been eclipsed by newer offerings, it still holds up well. This version features the ambulance version, so decals that feature red crosses (even for helmets!) and the usual decals for American and British vehicles. Most of the seats have been removed to accommodate stretchers. You get both folded and unfolded stretchers, as well as numerous accessories such as helmets, ammo pouches, boxes, etc. A rather crude US driver is included. One letdown is the litter frame is not quite long enough to reach the bumper and remain level..easy enough to solve with styrene rod. The stretchers' "feet" are best removed and replaced with wire as they are solid blocks. Be sure to not mix up the British and US gear unless you have a good reason for mixing them together (ie: Normandy). There is a PE details set available for the regular Jeep, and some of the bits could be used for this kit.

I wish italeri would bring back the dodge ww2 Ambulance it was a brilliant model kit getting back to the medi jeep that’s brilliant too.
