34" Wood Gong Stand, Solid Beech — MADE IN EUROPE — for Meditation, Sound Healing Therapy and Yoga, 2-YEAR WARRANTY

We purchased this stand for a customer (resale) and after receipt and assembly we have been completely shocked and deeply disappointed by the poor quality in manufacturing or wood working. This is far from the former high quality standard Meinl once had. That stand was very likely made in China, quick, cheap and sloppy. The joint, which are the only points to grant the stability to this A-type stand, are so extremely poorly made, with gap as large as 3/16" or 5mm, that the whole stand moves about 2 inches sideways. We would NEVER ever hang a 32" diameter, heavy and very valuable gong in this stand! Meinl - shame on you! This is completely unacceptable. Take the stand from the market right away or put immediately a rigid quality control in place before sending this dangerous stand out to customers. We can only say: Gong stand seekers - stay away and buy a metal gong stand if you treasure your gong.
