I bought these to use on Ryka water exercise shoes. They worked like a charm, once I managed to snap off (and on) the cover. I initially had to use so much force, I was afraid of breaking the plastic. I think it will get easier with practice. I like that I can slip the bow out of the clip at the end of class and leave it affixed to my shoe, with the cover still in place. Update: I finally figured out the trick to unsnapping and snapping on the top! Yesterday I was so frustrated trying to do it that I was late to class. But today I figured out that you need to unsnap from the TOP of the clip (the narrow edge), pulling UP to remove it. To put it back on, you need to put the fat part, the wide bottom edge in place first, then push toward the top of the clip. I had been trying to put it on from side to side, which was hit or miss. Now I can do it in mere seconds. I wish the manufacturer would add these instructions to their info sheet. It would save users much frustration and nail breakage.

The item does not work with athletic shoes where the laces cross cross through a loop on the tongue designed to keep the tongue from slipping down. The piece the manufacturer tells you to slide under the laces cannot do that because the criss crossed laced area prevents that. That certainly disappointed me. However the rating above is due to the developer and owner of the company personally reaching out to me explaining how they might be adapted to better work in the above situation. He also offered to refund my purchase price without having to return the items. Very generous and personal customer service!

Bought these for my Kindergartner, found that they were just a little too long to use with one pair of shoes he wears (not enough eyelets, won't line up with the knot), but just the right length for his other pair of shoes. He managed to lose one of the covers the first day-- thankfully the set came with extras! I think these would be great for keeping athletic shoes from untying, but were not 100% ideal for a 5yo. So, not the best fit for him, but overall a really neat product.

We used these for the first time today on my Kindergarten son's sneakers. The laces are not that long, but they were securely fastened (heard the click) this morning when he left for school. When I picked him up both laces were untied. The laces slipped out of one side, but the Clipzeez was intact. The other shoe, the cap of the Clipzeez was gone, but the black part was still there. Because they mailed extra caps, I will be able to use them tomorrow on his other shoes that have longer laces. Hopefully they will work better on those. If not, I will be returning. I will have to look for something else for his sneakers.Day 2: When I picked him up today, both caps were gone and shoelaces untied. Definitely do not recommend for active kids that climb on the playground, etc. We will be returning the leftover parts for a refund.

These are great EXCEPT the clips get lost so easily. When the clips are on they are perfect, and if they fall off, they aren't hard to clip back on, but Using them for my kindergartener was not a winning situation because he didn't notice when they would fall off. This item would probably have 5 stars if the clip was attached in some way to the rest of it.

We got these for our 6 year old who was having trouble keeping her shoes tied. Although it's a great product she lost one of the covers at school apparently it just popped off not to be seen again.

These work great. At first, after reading the instructions, it seemed like these would be a lot of work. But after a couple of tries - I found these to be easy to work with and they do the job. I am able to leave the base on my shoes. I just cinch and tie my shoe laces, put the loops in the base and snap on the cover. Easy-Peasy.

LOVE THESE!!! My daughter's cleats are ALWAYS coming untied during games. I purchased these to try to see if they would help at all. I was reluctant at first because they were close to $10 a pair but I am so glad I bought one. I will be purchasing more for my other daughters and have the other moms on our team purchasing them as well. They have saved so much time from needing to stop the games for shoe string checks. Highly recommend!!
