Thick and big enough for standard ironing board. I even put this cover on top of the previous one to keep the metal top of ironing board flat without metal ridges. Can't beat it for the price. Simple to put on, it's like putting your bottom sheet on your mattress. It's cushioned or slightly puffy which I liked.
