I absolutely LOVE this coconut oil. I've been using coconut oil for years. For my skin and especially my curly hair. I don't use any other styling 'products' on my hair. Curly hair LOVES coconut oil. I love this fractionated oil because regular whole coconut oil can hardened in temps colder than 74-76 degrees Fahrenheit. LOL...so it's always funny when you use it in the winter time on your hair (hard outside, soft in the house). With the fractionated oil, I don't have to worry about it...it's soft all of the time. Truly, this oil keeps your hair soft and anti-frizz!! You have to play with it to see how much your particular hair needs.I also added a good amount of all natural Lavender essential oil (there are some great oils and prices here on Amazon) to my coconut oil and my hair not only feels amazing but it has this sweet soft scent of Lavender all through it :) I also use this instead of body lotion when I get out of the shower...awesome. With the Lavender, my skin is soft and smells wonderful. The coconut oil absorbs right away into my skin, so I don't feel "greasy". It also WON'T stain your clothes!!! I use to use Vitamin E oil and because a lot of time companies use soybean oil as the carrier oil in that, it has stained a few of my shirts (from being on my hair)...it's also a heavier oil and I just don't like it at all-it's high maintenance. I can use coconut oil liberally without a care in the world :)What's the best part???I feel Great because not only do I smell and feel great (with the added Lavender oil), there are endless benefits to using coconut oil on your skin and hair BUT...IT'S ALL NATURAL!! This product arrived well packed and as advertised. I noticed that quite a few reviewers complained that the pump was missing but I did not have this issue. I purchased this item for the purpose of removing makeup and have been using it for approximately 2 weeks. I have oily skin and although I am way past my teenage years, I was concerned that it might lead to clogged pores and breakouts but I have not experienced this. Previously I used vaseline to remove my waterproof mascara and eyeliner. The vaseline did not readily remove the makeup and I would have to rub it in and let it sit for awhile to be effective, since the mascara can sometimes cake up and become hard (what we won't do for beauty). When I received this I had high hopes that it would make my makeup removal easy and it did not disappoint. This oil has the consistency of water but when applied to skin it is apparent that it is oily, as it adheres to the skin and leaves a sheen behind. I simply applied a small amount to a cotton square and after wiping my eye with it, it had removed all of the mascara and eyeliner, without having to rub hard or wait. It was so quick and easy to use that I also use it to remove my foundation, then I use a facial cleaner to remove the oil. It seems to moisturize and soften my skin so I have been applying it to body while still wet following a shower. I really like the results, as it leaves a sheen to my skin but does not feel oily in the least. I also ordered Radha's lavender essential oil with this and I am quite pleased with the quality and cost of her products. I will continue to buy this and am interested in exploring her other products, such as her Vit C serum. I have a new best friend in Radha!

Generally speaking for the majority of purposes I use essential oils, coconut is my all time favorite carrier oil and Radha's is just as beneficial as any I've used. There are so many reasons to use this oil. It's thin and light, so absorbs rapidly. It has no smell. If it does, you'd better check the ingredients or the expiration date. It should not have a smell. If it lists fragrance as an ingredient, that's a red flag. Almost any chemical can qualify as a fragrance. One side benefit I've recently just determined is that coconut oil is the least likely to stain and not nearly as hard on sheets as other carrier oils. A chemist friend gave a mini "tutorial" on this oil over coffee and said that a significant reason coconut oil makes the perfect carrier oil is that it's molecules are very small, nearly as small as the essential oils so that it doesn't hinder the EO from being absorbed into the skin. Pure unadulterated coconut oil has many benefits, and although fractionated coconut oil is exactly what it's name implies, a fraction of the original oil, it still maintains multiple healthy benefits. The pure oil has a long list of triglycerides that are mostly removed when the oil is fractionated, but the medium-chain triglycerides remain making it a saturated oil, which isn't a bad thing. It makes it a more stable oil and gives it a long shelf life. Fractionating also raises the concentration of Caprylic and Capric acids, giving it more of a disinfecting and antioxidant effect. Coconut oil has been used for skin care, high blood pressure, weight loss, aiding in digestion, stress relief, kidney problems, boosting the immune system and others. The way I look at it, using coconut oil along with the essential oil means increasing the overall benefits. Great oil, competiive price.
