WOW ! Placed the order on Sunday 12/21/14 and it arrived on Tuesday 12/23/14. OEM quality at a reasonable price, with no worries about fit and function. These are, as pictured, Trion - Air Bear filters not an after market filter and they have a wire mesh on the exit side of the filter media which adds support and keeps the pleats in position.I decided to stay with the MERV-8 filters, (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value), that originally can with my furnace. The MERV-11 filter would remove more contaminates from the air passing through it but would also create more resistance to air flow, putting a bit more load on the blower motor and restricting air velocity. I've had a hard time finding Ultravation and even harder time finding a suitable substitute, until now. On the filter itself, it says it's a direct replacement for Ultravation. What a relief after taking a gamble and ordering a 3-pack. The dimensions are the same as the Ultravation filter I pulled out of my furnace except that the Air Bear is really five inches thick whereas the Ultravation is about 4.5 inches thick. It fits my Ultravation filter box exactly and has the same foam seal setup as my Ultravation, top and bottom. Feels sturdy and the filter media is white unlike the Ultravation, which is a maize color. The filters arrived in perfect condition via FedEx in a sturdy box. Great price too, about 2/3 of Ultravation. I was going to add a picture but since there doesn't seem to be a way, the top of the filter says it replaces the following: Air Bear 1400, Air Bear Supreme 1400, Generalaire, Ultravation, and Skuttle for 16x25x5.

This is the first time I've bought these from Amazon. I buy 3, and they go 3 years. At the price here, it is $23/year; previously I've found $18 or $17/filter (including shipping). This is the best deal I found today. Very expensive filters, but the cost isn't quite as large as it seems, because of infrequent replacement.Shopping around online for these usually saves me $10-15. With the Amazon visa card I do get a few points for buying them here.If you use a lot of AC, you may need to switch this twice a year -- beginning of summer and in October. We only use $425 worth of heat and $30 of AC, and vacuum the house pretty much, so I usually go 13-14 months between replacements. (I'm in no way suggesting you try to stretch filter life beyond what is good for the furnace. Just saying that filter replacement depends on dust and how much the HVAC is used. One house can need every 5 months, another house needs every 13 months. When I trade out filters, the old one is very light gray, not gray or brown. The dust is almost invisible.)

Value for your money easy to install and works to keep dust and animal fur and dander under control! Been using this brand for 12 years and won’t use any other brand.
