This book is a perfect compliment to Alfred's Complete Adult Course. I had taken piano as a child and then forgot everything until a few months ago. I'd printed things off the internet and got a couple of other basic books. The I found Alfred's course which covers everything. My hands are remembering and the books are keeping me in line. I just needed more practice at a particular level and that is where the song book came in. It gives you that in big beautiful print. I love all kinds of old music and the song choices are right up my alley. I am impressed. Alfred is my new best friend.

Great for adult learning. I practice 40 to 60 minutes 5 days a week and can already play some of my favorite songs reasonably well. Most of the book's songs are more for practice and learning so I use another songbook I have. There is an adequate amount of music theory but it is basic....so in a couple of months I will find a piano teacher. Still, for those who just want to play the piano soon, this is a good book to do just that. I am 69 years old and have always wanted to play the piano. It is wonderful!

If you go on Youtube and type in the title of this book, you'll find a middle aged man teaching and demostrating in series of videos of EVERY SINGLE song in this book, that's why I bought the book.

I am an older person who knows a bit about piano but want to learn more. This book has been great for that. It takes you step by step but more quickly, which I like.

Excellent book. It is not too easy with sparse musical arrangements and is arranged at the right level and the songs and the pieces sounds original and musical without losing the melody. It is indeed a must have

This book of All-Time-Favorites lives up to its name...I was very pleased with the selections, and am thrilled to know that the music is arranged for my skill level! I've spent hours of enjoyment sitting at the piano, playing piece after piece. Am so glad I purchased the book...it never leaves the piano! I would recommend it to anyone who loves a wide range of old-time favorites mixed with time-honored classical selections.

I am doing the Alfred Adult Piano Lessons. I purchased this book as it gives me supplementary songs to practice that relate to the lessons that I have already learned in my regular lesson books. I think Alfred varies the music nicely and you get a mix of popular, classical and other genre's of music to practice! I recommend the entire Alfred program!

I have found all of the Alfred Piano Learning Books to be a very in depth learning tool. I would strongly suggest it to someone who is interested in learning the piano. I have been absent from playing for many many years and this has brought the joy of playing piano back into my life.

It arrived quickly, and the book is in good shape like new even it says used. Order a new one will take a month to arrive , this order arrived in two days, I am happy.
