VERY comfortable! Ran over 250 miles in these
Update review as of February 2021:I ran about 200 miles in 2020 and probably about 100 miles in 2019, when I bought the shoes. They never tore, AT ALL. They've definitely lost support and cushioning, as to be expected with an affordable pair of running shoes and after those miles put on them, but I still wear them to do small hikes and walks. I've since bought ASICS Women's Jolt 2 Running Shoes for this year (2021) because I didn't like the color options for the Contend 5 (2 years later and they still have just the same colors.) - I do highly recommend these shoes! I ended up taking back a pair of $150 Brooks running shoes for Asics.I don't understand other people saying these are too big. I read a few reviews of others also confused by other reviewers say these fit small. I was so nervous by all of the "fit smaller than expected" reviews that I went and tried on 3 different kinds of Asics in a store and the 7.5, 8 and 8.5 all fit normally. I normally wear a 7.5-8 but I was still so nervous that they'd be small because of the reviews, so I got an 8.5I wish I had bought my regular size 8 though because these don't fit small AT ALL. They fit normal. So these shoes, a size 8.5, fit just fine but I'd prefer a size 8, like I normally wear, so that they'd be a little bit more snug for running.I haven't yet ran in them so I can't review the comfort or arch support. I just wanted to quickly review the fit. If you wear a 7, get a 7. If you wear an 8, get an 8. They fit FINE! Mine were bought from Shoebacca and came with a free pair of Asics socks, too!

Love these!
I was having some foot and hip pain so was trying to find a pair of shoes that would ease the pain of both. These did the trick! There is a sort of gel/foam footbed (not removable) that really has essentially no arch support, but it fits fantastic. These are NOT the shoe to wear if it is rainy and muddy - it will go right through the mesh top - but for nice weather/conditions, they are perfect. (I live in Minnesota so won't be wearing these through slush but will for sure be carrying with to wear inside). I know this doesn't sound like a glowing review because I have mentioned several things that sound like negatives, but in the end, all I care about is they are comfortable and made the pain go away, which they did. Five stars.

I work in healthcare and get about 10,000 steps a day. These are my go to work shoes.

All day comfort
Only brand of shoes I like for work and standing for 10 hrs a day. Comfortable shoe with good arch support.

Comfortable and bright white!
I love ASICS and always buy this brand for my running shoe. I haven't had this model, though, until now. While I like the overall fit of the shoe and the bright white color, the back ankle part of the shoe seems to go a bit higher than what I tend to like. So far, after running 15 miles in them, I have not gotten a blister yet (but am worried because of how the ankle part rubs on my skin.)Update: No blisters after many more miles. Shoe is great.

Great shoes for extended time on your feet
I've purchased $100+ shoes and they didn't even come close to the comfort I get from these shoes. These are great for being on your feet all day. I've purchased 2 pair so far.

Good value running shoe, order 1/2 size up
I've always loved Asics shoes, and until a couple of years ago, always had a perfect fit in a 7.5 size. Then it seemed like Asics changed their size standard, at least for the running shoes I buy. While I still wear size 7.5 in every other shoe I own, ordering a size 8 in Asics is the right size. I am very pleased with this shoe; it is comfortable, supportive, and looks good.

Excellent shoe for the price!
Absolutely love them, perfect fit, color , support. I pronate badly and asics are the only shoe I can vfc wear that give me the support I need. I went to dicks sporting, but they don't even stock 10.5, so I'll just be getting my asics from here from now on!

Supportive trainers
These are nice lightweight and comfortable trainers. They are a size 9, usually I wear a size 8 and occasionally a 9 for comfort, I would say these are closer to an 8 in terms of fit. I have a broad foot also and these did not rub or pinch in any way. The are a lace up trainers and have a decently thick insole. The material is mesh which makes them more breathable and they appear to have good traction on walking. There is a nice bit of cushioning when walking and I feel they support my ankles better than the ones I am presently wearing. I work very long days at work on my feet and I'm hoping these will help reduce my aches and pains at night when finished. I will update with prolonged wear and how they perform.

Lightweight & so comfortable
So comfortable, really light, you feel like you’re walking on air. They probably don’t Give you the best support, but if you are just looking for a pair of every day trainers for a light workout these are perfect!

I am loyal to the Asics brand and this sneaker did not disappoint
I am loyal to the Asics brand and this sneaker did not disappoint. I am a weekend race walker who works out 3 times weekly . I started to feel residual knee pain during my training and surmised I probably needed a new pair of shoes. Sure enough I'm now training in these new booties and I have no pain. Very happy with shoes......as usual!

Very light and comfy
The shoes are light and comfy, very well made and good running shoes for beginners. I have a sore her and in these it feels like walking on clouds. They re also quite pretty, not too bulky. Attention: Asics are always on the smaller side. I m a size 6 but always order A disc in 7.They fit well.
