Disappointing and misleading.
Not the best product in the world.Pros:It caught some flies. It is not the most expensive item in the world.Cons:Most flies were able to just walk straight off, so adhesive is not that strong. There doesn't seem to be much to attract the flies other than the UV light, so not sure how much use it is during the day.The plug is on the device which is pretty bulky, so the device rests right on the switch of the socket meaning it can't sit flush, whoever designed that needs to do a better job, not very safe.Misleading:It also says that it is an "Insect zapper Lamp", as far as I can see, there is nothing in this that zaps them. Just sticky paper and the UV light to attract them.

Glue boards Rock!
Firstly this, in the few days it’s been used does what it says on the tin. It catches the flies. Plenty of those pesky fruit flies and a few of the blue meanies have all met their demise and have got stuck to the Glueboard. Had to rescue a bumble bee though! A few things to be aware and hopefully these can be designed out as the unit gets upgraded. Firstly the unit is wider than a standard 13amp socket so it covers not only the switch but partially the switch of the next socket. If you press the unit hard into the sockets then it will also switch the plug off. Pull it forward slightly so the light stays on and use the on/off switch at the bottom to control the unit.

Nearly brilliant - but actually useless.
I set this up and plugged it in - flies were immediately attracted to it and I thought here we go bye bye flies......... the problem is that the sticky paper is not sticky enough to hold the flies and they just escape after a bit of buzzing. I am going to buy some stronger sticky patches and put them there instead and hopefully this will work well. Great idea but severely let down by lack of goo!

Doesn’t work if your socket has a switch.
This product looked like it would do the job intended - i.e. attract flies with a blue light and then trap them on a sticky board. However, I could not push the pins far enough into any socket to get it to work - the switches on the sockets prevented this. I have several different styles of socket in my home - the only way I could get it to work was with an extension lead where there are no switches to get in the way. Aesthetically, the unit isn’t industrial looking and if you have sockets without switches then i’m Sure it would be fine.

Ridiculous Plug, Dont Bother (there is a use though..)
Edit--The sticky sheets are very effective for silverfish, I put one spare sheet down on the floor and it caught a few overnight.-------------The plug makes it difficult to plug in anywhere, since there is no plug but 3 pins in the back of it and so the size of it blocks it from going anywhere.Didnt catch a fly with it on, although just leaving it around unplugged I found 1 small fly stuck to it randomly.

Great for bitey bugs through the night
My daughter thought this was a new lamp because it’s so pretty. My house is very light so the flies gravitate towards the windows and not the trap, meaning it doesn’t catch flies so we’ll. However where the device really comes into its own is on a night in a darker place. You won’t believe all the little flying nasties it catches that you wouldn’t even know about. I take it upstairs so I don’t get bitten through the night.

A few design issues!
Firstly we thought we'd plug this into a wall socket. However, size and flush nature mean as you push the plug in it actually pushes the rocker switch of our sockets to off. So we added an adapter but it then stuck out quite a way and down low didn't seem to attract the flies - perhaps it was hidden. So we used an extension lead and thought we'd stand it on a table. That didn't work because the rocker switch on the base of the item then turned itself off. So it is now horizontal on the table. So far just one small fly caught so not sure about effectiveness. Ordered some flypapers yesterday. Still hoping for success and there does seem to be fewer flis around today.
