970511 Black Dual Sport 10mm Reverse Thread Right Hand Motorcycle Mirror

Put this on my TW200. Worked for a couple of hundred miles, but now it just flops over from wind speed. Went back to the instructions and tried tightening it up... with no luck. Now I have to go buy a GOOD mirror.Do yourself a favor. Avoid this.

This 970511 is 10mm Left Hand Thread...for the right hand side mirror! Confused? Don't be, if you have an 80's or 90's XT with a hydraulic front brake, this is what threads into that reverse thread hole. Can be threaded into any Yamaha front brake master cylinder/perch, but these "fold away" mirrors are more for "enduros" and dual-sports, as they won't break-off on the trail. The OEM rigid mount mirrors are great...until you snap-off half the threaded hole! These mirrors are hard to find, try your local cycle shop...kid behind the counter be all "huh?"And for those complaining the ball snaps off the end of the steel arm...flip the package over; detailed instructions for "Adjust ball joint tension". Really people, use some common sense before slamming the product lol. Two 17mm open-ended wrenches will be needed, make it just tight enough to not move in the wind. Excellent mirror for the money, even the corrugated boot perfectly matches my XT's original lever boots. Have used these for many thousands of miles, with zero problems.

Solid off dual sport option, replacing factory Beta mirrors which can't be tightened enough to stay put at highway speeds...

good product pain in the a** to put on motorcycle but fits tw200 perfectly, make sure you order opposite threads for the other one

If your looking for good mirrors that are universal fit ken Sean are good I would recommend getting two of the ken Sean 970510 mirrors. They seem to be a little bit better built, and install a lot easier. The threads on this mirror make it hard to screw into your handlebar mounts.

I ordered a 970511 right hand and a 970510 universal. They came quickly in the mail, but the right hand one has reverse threads and didn't fit my honda. The existing mirrors I had matched the replacement universal one, so I removed the fastening hardware from my old mirror and reused it to fasten the new stem and mirror from the new right hand mirror. A shame for that one since all I needed for that size was a replacement rubber boot. Just can't find any.

This is a great mirror very clear and stable and you can fold it out of the way when you’re in situations where you don’t need it

Great mirror.. nothing comes close at price point . A little difficult to get adjusted the first time but once you figure it out it stays put.
