This bottle is really fun and interactive, but too expensive
This bottle is really fun and interactive. I have 3 kids- ages 5, 7, and 9. They have all loved them, and they seem to be the right ages for the bottles. The little game on the bottles is super fun and they enjoy pairing their bottles together as "friends".We did have an issue with the water bottle not updating. I even contacted the manufacturer, who was VERY helpful. But it turned out that we just needed to place the bottles on their charging docks each night, whether they needed to charge or not. They update the software when they are on their charging docks, so ours weren't updating because we didn't put them on their docks. I would recommend having your waterbottle spend a night on the charging dock before giving it to your kids. That way the software is updated and your kids won't have issues with them. The water bottles seem like they are very sturdy and will withstand the abuse of my kids. It pairs with the app on my (android) phone very well. We haven't had any issues, other than those mentioned above, which were user errors.I gave the water bottles 4 out of 5 stars because I feel like these are very overpriced. I could see buying it if I only had one kid- but for three kids, it's almost $400. They have been really nice and they work like they're supposed to, and I'm sure they will last. The question is, how long will my kids' interest last. All in all, a nice product. You are definitely getting the quality you are paying for.UPDATE:I originally gave this product 4 stars, but I updated to give it 3 stars instead. When I wrote this review, we had used the water bottles for about 3 or 4 days. Now we have had our Gululu water bottles for a few months, and our experience has changed a bit. While they were really fun in the beginning, my kids have lost interest in them. They were SO much fun at first, but the excitement quickly wore off. Every now and then, one of the kids will gain interest again, but for the most part, the water bottles have just been sitting around unused. We also seem to be constantly having trouble with the software updating, which causes frustration for my kids, and they lose interest in using them because they can't get them to work properly. To top it off, I have found that the app drains the battery on my phone- no bueno! I definitely think these water bottles are fun and I could see them working, but for my kids and my family, I would not recommend them because the price point is SO high that I expected so much out of them. Basically, the excitement about them did not last, so I cannot give these a good review because they are not worth the money, in my opinion.

Fun, entertaining from younger ages to teens and even mom
Love this bottle, my son is 4 and him and 2 friends got this bottle for Christmas and now they are not only playing their individual games but checking on each other's progress. I can see how much he drinks on my phone app and while he enjoys his little buddy wake up w him, go to sleep when he does, play and hydrate the same time he drinks quite a bit of water without even thinking about it. It comes with us everywhere we go.Leveling up and getting gems along the way, motivates him to drink more but i truly enjoy this bottle a lot too. The only thing is that I can't find a replacement cap .. at school when they put it back in his school bag, it leaked without the cap and need to find one so it doesn't spill all over his bag anymore.

Drinking water doesn't have to be stressful
I am very impressed with this bottle. The concept behind it is brilliant. Of course, my original reaction when hearing about it was mainly shock at the price. At the time I had a 2 year old that drank water all day so I really had no reason to invest in it, as cool as it is (and it is really cool). But then my daughter somehow discovered juice and soda. It was a sip here and there and I thought nothing of it. We just had another baby and we let our toddler have some leeway. But months later and I started noticing that she wasn't drinking much water. She was also begging for things other than water. The big 'red light' went off when I noticed she was struggling with going potty. Let's just say this has never been a problem she's had until now.In the midst of potty training I really wanted to make sure I was setting her up for success. But with the baby and expecting baby 3, I was just not doing a great job. Thus started my initial search for ways to get her to drink more. The hard part was that I had a hard time monitoring her consistently. So hubby and I sat down and talked about solutions.A few things went into the decision to invest. First of all, the whole technology aspect of it was intriguing. My daughter does enjoy playing with the tablet and is aware of the tablet running out of battery and needing to be recharged. So by giving her this bottle, she is as excited about it as having her own tablet. And placing it in the docking station is very easy that she is able to be responsible for it. She takes it to bed with her and sometimes sleeps hugging it and other times charges it.The bottle itself is really nice. I have never seen such nice quality in a bottle, and the screen too is bright and lovely but also really well protected. The bottle can endure a lot. It holds a good amount of water but is not too heavy for my 2.5 year old to carry with her. She even opens and closes the cap without issue and the bottle does not leak. The water remains nice and cold too, which is a plus when you're out with the kids all day.My daughter loves her little pet on it (which she so originally named "pink"). So she cares about making Pink happy. She talks to Pink and is constantly drinking and checking to see how Pink responds. Pink does little tricks and gets gifts and it really is a very interactive device. I know that you can add friends to it but we haven't had a chance to try that because we only have one bottle for now.We have had it for about 3 weeks now and my 2.5 year old is still loving it and taking care of it and talking to it. Most importantly she is drinking her water and I don't need to keep nagging her, I just do a quick check at the end of the day on my phone. Pink gets sad if she doesn't and she doesn't want that to happen so she continues to care for her pet.
