Two dollar shears for only fifteen dollars. UPDATE
UPDATE: Apparently there are shears sold as "Rip Shears" by two different sellers and are two entirely different products. At this time my review applys only to the shears sold by Dufort Products and fulfilled by Amazon. For some unknown reason the review shows up under both buying choices. See comments for further information. These are stainless steel shears made in Pakistan that appear identical to the two buck kind I have purchased in the past at a flea market. My cheap shears have worked so well over the years I thought I would spring for a top quality pair. The only difference I can tell is that these are black and if anything seem a little lighter and more flimsy the the flea market shears. These are not "Rip Shears" but just a rip off. Amazon should be ashamed. I think it would be more trouble than it's worth to return these. There is such a product as rip shears. They are an excellent product. Please refer to comments for further information.

very nice
good quality, cut very well, even through metal on a medic alert necklace (for reasons unspecified we had to remove it, the guy was in a c-collar at the time and we couldn't get it off any other way). however, this did completely dull that set so its only good for cutting through metal once. other than that they lasted longer than any other set i've had so far. will definitely buy again next time i need them.

Not Ripshears but some junk made in pakistan
I order a pair of Rip Shears from Dufort Products. What I got was a cheap imitation made in Pakistan. Genuine Rip Shears (which I already have in my possession -wanted a second pair) are made in the USA and are CE approved (which is stamped on the handle). The real item also has the name Rip Shears engraved on the blade (as is shown in the picture of the item). The quality of the piece of junk I received is laughable. What good are shears if you can bend the blades? Dufort is trying to make money on false advertising - if they created a listing for the garbage they are passing off as genuine Rip Shears I doubt that anyone would buy them. They are duping purchasers who are unaware that they are not getting the product they ordered.

Not as Advertised
BUYER BEWARE!!! the Item I got from Dufort products did not match the pictures or description and were not rip shears. They did not bare the Rip shears logo as in the picture. They did not have the CE approval stamp. These are some garbage generic shears made in Pakistan.

"Not Rip Shears"
These are not the shears pictured, as the other reviewer stated. These feel cheap, worth a couple bucks. They don't have Rip Shears etched on them.
