This is a good adapter that allows a DMS to VGA conversion ...
for a very specific kind of video boards. Previously, I had only found a DMS to VGA splitter cable which was heavy and inconvenient. It also came the next day after I ordered it.

Exactly what I needed!
I used it to restore a video connection to a computer for which I could not use the D-SUB/VGA port but it also had a 59-Pin connector for which I didn't have the right cable. I was able to connect to my monitor via a standard VGA cable and it works like a charm.

Screen images were blurry
I have an old Dell Optiplex 755 tower, still running Win XP. It's used for web development, but I never take it online. The Dell has a graphics adapter similar to the ATI Radeon HD 2400XT, with a DMS-59 port. I already have a DMS-59 to VGA splitter which works well, except that the cable tends to come loose due to its weight. So, I ordered this product to help ensure a secure connection. The product that I'm reviewing fits the port on the ATI card, and when turned on will deliver a video signal to the monitor. HOWEVER, the signal is very blurry. No matter how tight I make the connection, it's still blurry. I don't know whether the problem lies with the adapter I purchased or the ATI card in my machine. I waited too long to send it back.
