Higonokami Chrome Ground blade L

This knife is great! Somehow this found its home in my bathroom. I have a full beard and use it to line the checks up. It just works… I prefer it to my straight razor lol. I do of course touch it up with a piece of leather to keep it razor sharp. Very cool, just buy it for the price

Great little lightweight EDC. Just be aware that there's no blade lock (ok, a little friction, but not much) and it rusts *very* quickly if your pants pockets are hot and damp. I'm experimenting with cold bluing to try to mitigate that.

This knife is very sharp! The blade seems to be of good quality.The handle is ok. It’s a bit uncomfortable to handle during tasks. The thin metal just feels abnormal.I do like this knife for the value.My blade is almost perfectly centered in the handle. It has a very firm placement. No wiggle or blade accidentally opening. It’s actually a bit tough to open.I have to assume it’s a fake or knock off. The packaging is just a plastic bag with a sticker on it.There’s no stamp on the blade. At this price, it doesn’t matter and should be expected.If you need a light duty knife with a sharp blade this is for you. Especially if you enjoy Japanese design.You won’t be able to beat the blade on this knife for the low price. I can’t even get my other knifes professionally sharpened for this price.

This thing is pretty great. Super sharp, cool blade design, and no one looks at me weird when I use it in front of them. It's quite thin so fits into small pockets. Mine doesn't open accidentally ever.The one negative is that it's a rust magnet. Mine is pretty ugly now, but still wicked sharp. I dont mind it, but if you should be aware of it. Really that's the only drawback about this piece. Doesn't lock, and you won't be doing hard work with this. I think it's nice to carry around in your pocket, that's just my two cents.

These are excellent examples of the Higo no Kami knife. They are handmade so expect differences between individual examples. Mine was razor sharp new and well made. They are light duty tools. Blades are high carbon steel so expect discoloration and they easily rust. One should dry cloth wipe down blade after use or at least once a day and oil/wipe down the blade once in a while. I oil it with CLP every other month or so. Take care of it and it'll last a long time.

I found this little knife not to be practical. it came in sharp, but the handle and the grip of the knife make it very uncomfortable to use. bottom line is if you want something different in your collection then go ahead and purchase one.

Not sure If this is a knock off, but its a damn good one. The blade is super hard steel and you can tell its been forged. Its also really sharp. Neat little piece of japan, and a cool knife to carry. It's clearly quickly made but is with good materials. The handle is blued metal. Neat little thing.
