Great read! The author is very personable and relates to everyday life!

this book was incredibly motivating. I heard Judah Smith speak at a conference right before this book was released, and they were pre-selling copies. Strangely enough, I waited almost 2 months until it was actually released to the public to read it (I know...I have no idea why I did that!) I read the book in a matter of days. Having just heard him speak, I was able to hear a lot of the stories he tells in the book in person, and so I was reading the stories the same way he told them! The information presented isn't necessarily "new"...it's something we all know to be true and accurate as Christians. But the way he presents some of the information made me pause and think about what I've always known just a bit differently! However, by the end of the book, the idea of "God's illogical love" is made a little less illogical and little more amazing! Be sure to have a highlighter and pen/paper nearby. (and while not everyone might agree...the cover art is pretty awesome)

I am currently leading a study on the book and it has been amazing! We are only on chapter 4 (I am breaking it down differently than the DVD study so it lasts longer) and the women involved have already grown greatly. I will update this at the end of the study to let you know the response to the whole book, but it is already changing our existence.Pastor Judah's writing is fun and simple, yet his insights are often much deeper than they read. He has blown my mind with the most innocuous sounding statements and highlighted stories in the Bible often ignored, yet extremely powerful. As a longtime former member of his church I can tell you his books come from his life. He lives them. God's love for us is both the simplest concept in Christianity and the toughest. Pastor Judah's book will help you take that love from head knowledge to making it real in your heart and life.

This book turned out to be a valuable resource in working with a student struggling with anxiety. We used this book as a discussion tool and it help the student to overcome more than anxiety, but to see life from a different and definitely more enjoyable view point. This book was a GOOD READ and a BLESSING! Highly recommended

First and foremost i think its important to denote the profound pastor Judah Smith has had on our generation of young people. In a world that is so prone to predicating theology on a basis of programs and self-improvement, it really is important that we continually come back to the simple gospel. There truly really is only one message, and its this: Jesus didnt come to make bad people good, but to bring dead people to life. I love this book because its emphasis is always God and God alone, and with that being said my response cant be anything short of having my affections stirred for Christ and people. So thankful for Gods grace and thankful for leaders like Pastor Judah.

I read this shortly after reading his first book. I really liked it, and just like the first, it was very humorous, and very real. I just liked his first book better, but I can't exactly put my finger on why.This book though-this one answered the questions I'd always wondered about just why ARE we here? What is the purpose of our lives? That is what this book is all about. I love the way he puts it: Life is to be loved and to love. In this book he tells you why "to be loved" comes first and "to love" comes after and it was very eye opening to me.Judah Smith writes in such a down to earth way, and when he shares his faults with us in such a humorous way, you just can't help but love and admire him even more. He really wants us to know God, Jesus and their unconditional love for us.

I have already purchased and read Jesus is by this author and fell in love with his writing. I was very excited about Life is and within the first chapter it reached deep in my heart and soul and brought me to tears. I am a religious person but we all struggle and this self help book planted my feet on the ground and opened my eyes to things I had forgotten during a few rough patches I've had. This book can change lives. I also HIGHLY recommend Jesus is as well.

I loved every line...Every word...Every syllable!!!Well written and my life is forever changed!! This book ushered me into rededication to Jesus! I felt the Power of God changing me with every letter I read.

Great quality and it was delivered before the estimated time. I certainly recommend it! I can’t wait to read it!

Du hast die einmalige Begabung, den Leser/die Leserin zu fesseln und gleichzeitig zu bereichern. Es wird Keinen/Keine geben, die nicht verändert nach der Lektüre auf das Leben - das eigene und das der Umgebung - blickt.Über allem steht wieder der Leitsatz, dass es "letztlich nur um Jesus geht". Genauso ist es, und auch dieses Buch festigt diese Deine Überzeugung und allgemeingültige Tatsache.Wer bei aller Tiefe, die dieses Buch bietet, gleichzeitig gut unterhalten werden möchte sollte zuschlagen.Übrigens bin ich überzeugt, dass die englische Originalfassung auf jeden Fall wieder näher an den Gedanken von Judah Smith ist als die deutsche Übersetzung. Was vielleicht aber auch daran liegt, dass wir die Dinge nicht gerne so direkt beim Namen nennen wie das in Amerika scheinbar möglich ist.Klare Empfehlung und schöne Weiterführung und Vertiefung von "Jesus is ___".
