Swiss Gear Travel Umbrella, Black, 36-Inch Canopy

After placing my order, I received a defective umbrella; it wouldn't open all of the way.I left a negative review on the seller's site, and literally, within a few hours, I was contacted by the nicest customer service representative.A new umbrella had already been processed and shipped to me, at no additional charge.And, as it turns out, the umbrella is just as great as everyone says it is. I've used it in higher winds and have had no issues.It's also sublimely small and so convenient.This was a great purchase, and I am so pleased at the level of customer service. If we ever need something that they sell, we will definitely be ordering from this seller again!

I purchased this product for my trip to Scotland. I liked it because it was compact enough to fit nicely in my luggage. When it arrived, the end cap to the canopy had fallen off, so I returned it and ordered a replacement. It was sent out within a few days, no delays or hassles. I did use it a few times when the rain actually paid a visit during my stay, and it has good coverage.

Compact but not too much. Does not perform well in high winds (but no umbrella does), although I has no problem returning to its shape when turned inside out.

It's small and short. Apart from this Its not durable. The only reason I bought this was because of the Swiss Gear Brand.

The main purpose that I bought this umbrella was because of the brand image of Swiss Gear that I had. I thought I would get a solid, durable and easy to use umbrella. It turns out that it was neither. There is no button to open the umbrella. You have to open it manually. This feature was forgivable though. What was not forgivable was the fact that it broke within one week of the purchase. Many of the free umbrellas I got have outperformed this umbrella by FAR. I want my money back.

I bought this in the case that I was walking home from work in the rain and it actually came in handy this past week but it ended up not really serving much of a purpose because it kept flipping upside down. The umbrella can stand light rain just fine but any type of wind just screws with it.

I am always losing umbrellas, so I needed one I could easily stick into the front of my suitcase and this one is perfect. Not too big and not too small. Just the right size. Everything is made well and sturdy. Opens and closes easily. Top quality.

This is a very normal umbrella and $15 is bit higher than it should be for its quality. It is ok to be used for light rain to moderate rain. Do not expect this to stand good under heavy rain and forget about it if it is a storm. The links and the skeleton (steel construction) that holds the nylon is not strong enough. Couple of links got broke when there was a moderate wind one time before raining.I would not recommend if you want to put down $15 for this. It is priced more than it should be for its quality. Buy this only if you are in an area where it would rain lightly or moderately and not having high winds.
