This monitor has the 2013 version of the LG AH-IPS panel. It took a lot of digging into find this out. So if having the best panel is important to you then look at this one. The colors really pop on the screen. I've not seen Diablo 3 and Battlefield 4 look so good. Both my wife and I have been in IT for over 20 years and we both said wow when we saw the picture.This is a 16:10, 2560x1600 resolution. That's where it looks the best. This thing required zero calibration right out of the box. No dead pixels. Set it up and go.The bezel is reasonable (~ a half of an inch), and the controls are in a good place. Why they decided to include a remote control I’ll never know. So you get one. The power cord it comes with is European and a US adapter. So make sure you have a spare US type cord.The other review talk about the base/mounting legs being weak. These legs have metal structures so they are sound. The only deficient thing to know going in about this panel is that it does have 100x100 vesa holes. Be warned that the size of the screws you'll need are small in diameter. They don’t come with the monitor. The screws you’ll need are much the same size as screws you'd use inside of your computer case. You'll want to get some that are at least a half inch long (thread length). My only concern here is that they seem just strong enough to hold the monitor on pole mount. The monitor is a bit heavier than you'd think. I worry that the screws might strip the threaded brass mounts if you tug on the monitor to try to reposition it. So if you use the vesa mount, be gentle when you are adjusting the monitor. This is the only potential concern with this monitor.The last thing. MWM Global Shipped this from Seoul, South Korea to Denver. I got it in two days. Gold star for them.I will be getting another one of these monitors when I save up the money.

This unit must have been assembled in an amateur cottage industry set up.The leg marked "left" was barely dangling when I unpacked the unit.I suspect it left the shop that way because it appears that there was a sloppy last minute failed attempt to seat itproperly. Of course the trail of evidence includes obvious scratch marks in and around that area.Perhaps it serves me right to believe a "5 star rating" with a small number of reviewers.You get a lot less for what you pay for!

I've had this monitor for 1 year now. It has great quality for my purposes (programming). I too don't like the cheap stand and right now I am trying to mount this to a desk arm (Monoprice 109259 Aluminum Full Motion Desk Mount for Apple Displays, Silver) and I can't seem to find screws that fit the VESA mounting location. Why in the world they would choose a non-standard screw size is beyond me. The Q&A says "uses 3X10 screw" - I guess that means M3 10mm?

This is my 2nd Crossover monitor and I can say without hesitation that their monitors are top notch when it comes to display quality. The 30X implements the latest LG AH-IPS technology. The jump from 2560 x 1440 to 2560 x 1600 may not seem worth double the price unless you are looking for that extra real estate. I bought this for mainly for image analysis work and use it also for gaming (this an excellent gaming monitor). My other monitor is 2560 x 1440 and the extra real estate makes a big difference in my software displays. The image and text quality of this monitor are fantastic out of the box with no need for calibration. In my opinion the 30X display quality is better than the Dell U3014. As with my other Crossover monitor my only complaint is the stand quality. The stand on this monitor is barely enough to hold the weight and the flimsiness leaves one thinking why they couldn't make it just a tad bit sturdier. With that said this is one of the best values in electronics today and should be given the highest consideration when comparing WQHD monitors.

This transaction was a fine product, great price, and breathtaking shipping. The seller used Fedex to transport the box --in less than one week, with no additional charges-- from Seoul, South Korea to Tennessee.The picture is bright and sharp; having much more pixel real estate makes multiple application windows much more enjoyable. There *is* a bit of wobble in the stand stability, but this is only noticeable when I bump the side of the monitor. No klutz = no wobble.

For the price, this is the best... hdmi, dvi and display port gives you all the connectivity you could need... The stand is extremely flimsy for a monitor of this size. But I cant even know out a star for that because of the price.
