G-Shock GD120MB Black

Great watch for the price!!! Unless you are one of the "price is no object" kinda folks and are fairly active, this watch has it where it counts. I spent much more on my last watch before this one. It had some really special, wiz-bang capabilities like a compass and a ballistics calculator on it. However, since I am WELL PAST my prime and probably won't be doing any covert opps to take out the enemies of this country, I find that a lot more basic utility is all I require. I have had $50 Casio G-Shock watches before and wore them for years with no problems. On the other hand the $250 "Tactical" watch that just gave up the ghost on me for the 3rd time (went though batteries like bugs though a duck!) after 3 years of relatively light use, was very disappointing in it's functional complexity and lack of durability (the back lite has been non-functioning for months) . So much for the expensive 'tactical' type. This G-Shock has the mil look I like, all the functions I need (count down timer; day / date; a clear display with a great back lite; time zones and alarm that is reliable) and none of the things I don't need. The only point to make from my past experience with Casio's is that the watch band will probably crack and start to break when used extensively in the marine environment. Something about the salt water and sun shine just does a job on them as I recall. But as of now, I am stoked on this new watch!!!

Great watch! Purchased this watch to replace a DW-6900 that I had for over 5 years (the back plate screws stripped out from replacing the battery numerous times --- it still works, just is no longer waterproof). I have owned G-Shocks for more than 20 years and they have never failed to provide exceptional service in extreme conditions in literally every climate on the planet. I was a little hesitant to go with the negative display based on other reviews but felt that the backlight and the larger display would offset any viewing issues --- which I have found to be the case. The display IS slightly more difficult to read in low light conditions, but as other reviewers have pointed out, the backlight is excellent. I use almost every one of the multi-functions on a daily basis (stop watch, count-down timer, alarm, multiple time zones). The ability to scroll forward and backwards when setting functions is nice and the 5 year battery is a great improvement.

Best G Shock I've had so far. I love the body and construction of the watch. It's sturdy, rugged, yet stylish. It's also a pretty big watch, but it fits nice on the wrist. The negative display is sometimes hard to see but it's nothing that can't be fixed with a quick press of the light button. However, if your job requires that you be able to read the time in darker situations without pressing a button, this may not be the watch for you. Basically this watch is for people with a specific taste. People who like the all blacked out, stealth look that you don't find on many other watches. I love this watch. Completely worth buying.

I thought the size of this watch might be awkward, but I actually love it. It's very comfortable, and the size doesn't stand out too much. I chose it to wear for motorcycle riding and camping, and it's perfect for that, although when holding the throttle open the watch has a tendency to push into the top of my hand due to it's size. This is easily remedied by moving the watch back on the wrist, but it's annoying, and actually left a bruise once.The display is pretty difficult to see unless it's in direct light. This was an issue to me at first because I was used to glancing at an analog watch face, but I quickly got used to it. I expected the alarm function to actually be capable of waking me from sleep, but its not nearly loud enough and doesn't go off for very long. It's only useful function would be to alert you of something during your day (such as an event, or medication to take or something). The timer function is very convenient and easy to adjust, but again, the the alarm could be louder. Durability is better than I expected. It's hit walls and concrete before and the damage to the finish is minimal.Pros: Looks great, very comfortable, light weight, easy to use timer and stopwatch functions. Reasonably easy to change the time.Cons: Alarm not very loud, hard to see time without abundance of light, size sometimes interferes with wrist movement on motorcycle throttle.

Bought it because of how tough g-shock watches are. Having a tough watch is necessary in the oilfield, and this works well. My only complaint is the difficulty reading the numbers without pushing the backlight button, even in daylight. If not for that, I’d give it 5 stars. Great watch and well worth the price for anyone needing something more durable than ordinary watches.

I love this watch so much! I bought it to replace my 6 year old GD-100 & this watch has not disappointed me. The led light is perfect, size is good for people who like larger faces, and it is extremely rugged.This watch has been with me through the beaches of Europe, snowstorms in NY, music gigs, and banged around when I was working HVAC. The band has lost some of its luster (probably because of all the water and beatings), but still looks as good as new. Well worth the $60! Definitely purchasing another one to keep handy.

I always wanted to get a G-Shock which is all black and military style. This G-shock is full black,perfect manly wrist watch size,rough and tough look. I must say this watch looks much better in real than photo. Perfect for outdoor activities, everyday use. I ordered this watch on 30th April and received on 1st May which I didn't even expect. Excellent! Comes with international warranty. Love how it looks. It feels very comfortable, not at all heavy even I am wearing it for long hours. I would like to mention that this watch is not for everyone, because of it's negative display and that is for a reason. It's a military watch not a basic shiny watch. It's a classic everyday watch. So if you do not like military watch or has low vision issues, you might not like this watch due to it's negative display (which is for a reason) It has amazing clear blue light feature . Love the hourly SIG, 5 alarm system and world clock feature. In one word if you are looking for a rough and tough military watch, just get it! You will love it! This is the watch I was looking for a long time. I am happy with my purchase. Everyone stay safe and healthy during this pandemic. ~ with love from Canada.

A great watch. Looks really sharp, easy to adjust with instructions, display is easy to read, solidly built. The backlighting is excellent making the entire face easy to read in the dark. You can set it up for multiple time zones if you like but I really don't need it so I don't use that function. I expected nothing less but high quality from G-Shock and I was not disappointed. This is only my second G-Shock because my first one only died after 7 years of everyday use. I expect this one to last at least that long!

Awesome watch! It's a bit difficult to read at odd angles but very durable, stylish and functional.

This watch has it all!! It is very comfortable. I like the fit & the size. Instruction manual is user-friendly to figure out & use all the functions. The LED light & tilt-to-light is an awesome feature!! Shipping was fast. Overall very happy with this watch!!

This is a nice watch, however if you are buying this for work purposes I wouldn’t recommend it. I work in a profession that requires strict time keeping and I found myself struggling to hit the right angle to properly see the time in low light conditions. I understand it’s a military watch for that reason but it affects the day to day use aspect. Casio was great about the return, no hassle.
