I bought this for anemometer, which worked fairly ok. I'm an avid kiteboarder, so when I'm wearing this watch while kiteboarding it is to be expect to take a few tumbles and crashes in the water. As the result the water got inside the watch and stoping working the very next day. So if you plan to wear this watch in the water for water sports other than sailing, I would not recommend this watch. This watch is very difficult to see time with quick glance. The digital illuminator is not bright enough.

It should come with a battery. I've never seen a watch being sold with no batteries in it.

MY EXPERIENCE IS THAT THIS WATCH IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE WORST PURCHASE & TECH SUPORT/CUSTOMER SERVICE INTERACTIONS I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED ON AMAZON. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PYLE PRODUCT NOR WILL I EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DEALSBUY2015 EVER AGAIN. If I could give this product ZERO stars I would. I have had mine for a bit more than 5 months. MY EXPERIENCE has been the following: 1. Watch arrived with a dead battery. 2. Many small electronics, including watches that require 3 volt batteries have an easy access door for replacing the battery. Not so with this watch. There are 6 tiny screws and at least one side of the wrist band that must be removed. Once inside, another incredibly tiny screw must be removed. Fortunately, I had the correct tools. My guess is most people would not have. Pyle's tech support guidance; bring it to a jeweler for battery replacement. This is a sports watch, not a Cartier. 3. The wind gauge is not even close compared with professional equipment and measured at the same location including altitude. 4. Good luck reading this watch in the daylight; it is almost impossible. Taking time to find shade when timing is of the essence is certainly not ideal. 5. As of this writing, the watch face does not register ANY values. The battery has been tested and was found to be excellent. A brand new replacement battery was installed, but still no values can be seen...none. I know the battery works because alarms randomly turn on for periods of time ranging from a single beep to non-stop beeping until a button or combination of buttons are pressed. 6. Calls to PYLE TECH SUPPORT were always met with an answering machine but no return call was ever received. They close at 3pm on Fridays and are not open on the weekend. 7. The seller, DEALSBUY2015, was only responsive as to tell me they would not refund or exchange. They told me to call Pyle for a warranty repair...I did...and again, I was met with an answering machine that disconnected me before I could leave a message. I would not buy again, however, you may have a different experience. Good luck.

I don't know about the other reviews but the one I ordered functions great. The watch came with a dead battery installed so I guess these are new, old stock. After much tedious work I was able to remove the dead battery and install a fresh one and fire it back up. After setting it all up and doing some tests, I can say this is one (HUGE) accurate weather wrist watch.Features:Time, date, day, stopwatch, barometer, barometer tendency graph, altimeter, compass, temperature, current wind speed, max wind speed, avg wind speed, wind chill, memory, adjustable contrast, EL back lightThis watch is not a "daily driver", rather a purpose built watch with a touch of geek appeal. I have seen comments that when the wind sensor is raised the watch looks like a hovercraft...and it does lol! However, when we are out in the bush we will have hard numbers to work with, no random lick the finger and put it into the air guesses. Probably the best feature I was surprised by was the main home screen has the option to display the day & date or date and barometric tendency over the last 9 hours (very helpful). Very nice!

I ordered this watch as a gift for my husband's birthday and it arrived completely dead. We tried to change the batteries but it didn't work, so i returned the watch and asked for a replacement what was actually very easy and fast to received a new one. The second watch only worked when we changed the batteries but then, the wind speed meter couldn't be locked properly so i decided to return it again and ask for a refund once i was really, really disappointed with my purchase. The watch looks nice and offer great features, but it doesn't work.

Pour la taille de la montre, elle est très légère. Je m'attendais que la montre soit lourde et je suis surpris qu'elle n'est pas. Je ne voudrais pas porter cette montre tous les jours même si elle a un super look et est très confortable. Le prix se penche vers le fanatique de la navigation de plaisance et peut-être pas la meilleure option si votre planning est de passer peu de temps sur l'eau. La résolution d'écran est impeccable et le format est facile à gérer.

Nice unit; good, usable features, and I the price was terrific. I didn't give five stars because it arrived with a dead battery, and the protective sleeve/bag was missing.

when they first came out I bought 1 for over $300 and when the battery died a replacement would not work. Contacted them directly and would not help. Bought one again recently for way less money hoping the problem is solved. Arrive through Amazon dead. Told to replace the battery so returned.

I've just received this watch today which I thought may be useful for a sailing Regatta I'm in this weekend. I have not got very far. The watch was delivered with a dead battery or defective. In the package there was also supposed to be: Two soft nylon clothes (sic). There was nothing. So I am assuming this watch was either second hand, a reject or just came from an incompetent supplier. Whatever the reasons, I'm not taking any more chances with it and such a hopeless supplier as Pyle, who I will never buy from again. For me this product is just a Pile of Old Croc and being returned to the supplier within 1 hour of receiving it. The Wind Speed Meter looks very dubious and keeping that dry and clean when you are sailing a dinghy is going to be challenging to say the least.
