There are many good pumps around like the Danner pumps
I have been running the Jebao DC15000 in a 55 gal sump, and it has no problem pushingthe water about 14 ft up from my basement to a 200 gl fresh water system, non stop since September 2016,and it doesn't sound like its going to "pull the plug" any time soon.So far it has been the best and the quietest pump for its size that I have,...very strong at level 4 setting.I also have the Jebao DC 3000 running a small 40 gl quarantine tank, non stop for 3 yrs now, and thoughI can hear it a bit...it also just keeps going without any apparent problem.I think the reason why a lot of people seem to have issues with these DC pumpsIMO..is because I don't believe it is a good idea to be running them at the 100% levelfor an indefinite length of time,....you can be sure something is going fail.It makes much more sense to buy a pump that can adequately pump your flow requirementson the first, to the third or fourth level. That way your DC pump will idle away for any length of timewithout any problem and very little ambient sound,....They are just not made for a full "burnout" situation. Also it is far better to use an AC pump for very high head pressures. That being said, the big DC 15000 should not be subjected to anything more than 13 to 14 ft head pressureThe lower the head pressure, and the lower the setting , the better they will run and the longer they willlast. These DC pumps are often referred to as "Generic" no good pumps. But when you consider what that means.....it has the same active ingredients . so it has the exact samecomponents as whatever is supposed to be the real thing.I have a number of these DC pumps, and it has to be said,...value for money , just doesn't get any better

Both of these did a good job pumping water and still work to this day
I have tried a couple different pumps in my current setup over the past 4 years. My initial pump is an Aqueon QuietFlow AQ2300 and then I stepped up to Rio 14HF. Both of these did a good job pumping water and still work to this day. But I always had a vibration sound no mater how much dampening I tried. They had rubber feet install, foam cutouts to rest on, and even wrapped water lines with foam where it made contact with any surface. Over time they do get quieter but still has this "Buzz" that is constantly going on.Once I setup the Jebao DCT 6000 I was worried it wasn't really running like it should. There is a extremely light "whine" when the motor is ramping up but goes away once set speed it reached. Another great feature for this pump is having the "Feed" button to stop the pump for 10 minutes, instead of constantly unplugging-plugging your pump. I also like how the DC pump slowly ramps up the speed; instead of just going full-bore once power is applied, gives fish and turtles a little heads-up.Now this is just my initial impressions of this pump and will update if accordingly if any issues arises. But for now this a 5 Star pump out the box.One more thing before I forget, this is a larger size pump compared to most AC pumps I used for my 75 gallon tank. Make sure to check that you have enough tolerance for it.

Good pumps.
Doesn't hum or vibrate but does have a light whine sound that seems to be getting quieter with use or maybe I'm getting used to it.TV will drown it out but if you like quiet or prefer a hum you may want to look elsewhere. It seems to move the amount of water indicated by its flow chart. Has been in operation for 4 months with no issue.Accessories are good. Price for performance is great. I have wave makers by this company that are over 2 years old. No issues.

After 6 years of use on saltwater tank...
I was going through my orders to see what aquarium lights I ordered years ago and came across this pump. According to Amazon, I bought this 6 years ago and it is still running strong. One of the best features is the digital display where I can dial in the flow rate to ensure that my water levels stay consistent. Also have the "feed" button is a nice feature for when I want to give my fish a break from catching their food. Great buy and I'll continue to order these pumps as long as their available.

Jebao DCT Pump
I purchased a DCT-4000 and a DCT-6000 November 20 2015, the DCT-6000 was installed the day it arrived on my 125 Oscar tank, about 6 months after that the Oscar died from an "I am gonna jump out of the tank" injury and we switched to saltwater. This pump has been running at 90% 24/7 since then, using feed mode 2-3 times a day. It sat idle in a bucket for a month when we moved(2 years ago) until I could get the tanks back up and running... Its current job is in a mixing station for my saltwater, (we downsized the aquariums last year to prepare for an in-wall setup), it runs 24/7 at 70% pushing through a manifold to circulate water in my mixing tank. Close a valve and open one to refill the aquariums after a water change. These pumps are durable and nearly silent. I did have an issue with the DCT-4000 I bought at the same time, I had to replace the impeller after I let the pump sit dry without rinsing the salt water out... Not a bad purchase, coming up on 4 years of hard use in November... If it ever gives out I will not hesitate to buy another Jebao pump

It's Been a Good Pump For Over a Year
This pump has been running for a little over a year on my reef. It is quiet and pretty easy to clean. It does need to be cleaned. The first time mine needed cleaning it would not restart after a feeding and the lights were flashing showing a jammed impeller. I suspect the soft start on this pump makes it more susceptible to impeller jams. Pulling the pump and giving the impeller a vinegar dip had it running again in a short period. Removing the snap ring on the impeller is somewhat difficult if you want to take it completely apart. For the price it's a good pump. I've been cleaning mine about every 4 months so if you have a system where removal is difficult you might want to look elsewhere.
