Fantastic for T3i Owners! For those contemplating this or the Hoodman version, this is much cheaper!
Last year, I purchased the Hoodman Eyecup for my Canon T3i. I know many photographers who use Hoodman and it's a reputable name brand but it also cost $20. I've know of cheaper versions online but when I started seeing reviews on Amazon for this GOJA version (Note This is a JJC Eyecup using TPU rubber and this version is an EC-7/18mm Eye Cup for Canon), I had to check out for myself. And I hope this review helps those who are trying to decide whether or not to go for this version or the Hoodman version. The Hoodman version is slightly thicker (for the rubber and the connection plate) and the connecting plate has a ridge lock right underneath. The GOJA version doesn't. But the biggest influence for many will be the price. GOJA is much cheaper at $7.99. Hoodman is $20.Now here is the reason why I prefer the GOJA/JJC version.1. PRICE2. While the extra ridge lock on the Hoodman is nice, for anyone who owns a Canon T3i will probably want to flip the LCD viewer out, like most eyecups for the T3i, you're going to have to take off the eyecup, flip open the LCD and put it back in. Hoodman's are great if you own a camera with a stationary LCD screen on your DSLR. Because T3i owners who use the eyecup need to take it on and off, chances of losing it are great and thus, having to repurchase a $20 eyecup may be pricey to some. Otherwise, if you lose a $7.99 eyecup, you won't feel as bad.3. Comfort - The rubber is comfortable and like the Hoodman's, you can easily rotate it if you want to use your left eye or right eye.JUDGMENT CALL:The Hoodman eyecups are great (granted you may want to do your research first before buying as you may buy the wrong version as many have done) but they are much more expensive. Eyecups tend to get lost if you tend to remove them often and for Canon T3i owners, you are going to have to remove it often if you plan to extend your LCD viewer. With that being said, for a low price alternative that fits perfectly on a Canon T3i, snug and not loose when connected, easily rotatable and comfortable on the eyes and of course...THE MUCH LOWER PRICE...the GOJA/JJC eyecup works perfectly and just as good as my Hoodman! Oh, and you also get a free microfiber lens cleaning cloth as well!Definitely recommended for Canon T3i owners! (and other cameras listed in the product description)

Useful with limitations
I bought this because the screen of my new Canon T3i was always messy with oil from my nose when I looked through the supplied viewfinder. I have a protector on the screen but I was cleaning it constantly. This eyecup keeps my nose off the screen almost completely and the screen stays much cleaner. A plus is that the eyecup blocks out more extraneous light making it easier for me to see and frame my pictures. The limitation mentioned in the title is also noted by at least one other reviewer. There is a very slight amount of restriction of the field of view through the viewfinder when this is mounted. I have not found this to be a problem when composing a picture but some folks might. The product is sturdy, fits the mount very well and does not impede putting the camera in my bag easily. That may be an issue if your camera is already tight going into the bag. For the price, I find this a definite plus for my camera.

Fits Canon Rebel 300D
Arrived 3 days earlier than estimated- always love that. But what's more to love is the signed note from the president of the company! I have no doubt that customer service will be fantastic if there's an issue with this product - or any other product - from Digital Goja.A note to those with glasses:My frames are the big, clunky rectangular kind, so this eyecup doesn't quite block all the light- easily remedied with a bit of Gaffer's tape around the upper right side. If your glasses are of a more discreet, sensible style, it may work better for you. ;) I'm keeping this, though, for days when I wear contacts- it conforms perfectly to to a "naked" eye (very comfortable, total light-block), and does keep your nose and cheek from smudging up the screen. Also, this is for right-eye shooters only - doesn't seem to rotate. It's very well made; the fit on my Rebel is not too loose, not too tight. It's a good deal from a great company.

Great product, may or may not break but still works
I love this eyepiece. It is very comfortable, easy to use, and versatile. Absolutely no light leaks and you can see the full viewfinder. I will say, though, that as other have mentioned it does block the screen, so I end up taking it off every time I want to flip the screen on my 80d. A hassle, but worth it for the extra advantages of the product. Withing the first hour or 2 of use (taken off and on maybe 3 times including first installation) the left tab broke off. It no longer snaps on or clicks on, but it does stay on with friction and will not fall off if turned upside down. If anything, it's easier to take off and on and will reduce wear on the actual recurved on the body over time.UPDATE TIME!The seller saw my review and sent me a message. I never saw this message, but found it in my inbox after a package came in the mail today. It was a new eyepiece. The customer support for this company is impeccable. I never contacted them about the issue, as what happened really never bothered me as mentioned in my original review, but they saw my review and took the initiative to make things right on their own. For this reason I am updating from 4 to 5 stars. Thanks for the great experience. It always gives me a great feeling when companies go above and beyond to satisfy their customers.

Works Just Okay - Could be More Comfortable
I bought a couple of different eye cups to replace the stock one on my Canon Rebel T7. While this one installed without any problem, I did not find it very comfortable. The rubber material is very stiff and does not conform very well to the eye. It does do an okay job of blocking extraneous light and is better than the stock Canon eye cup, but the comfort was not there. This one has a somewhat exaggerated tear drop shape which I guess is intended to match the shape of your eye socket, but that is a bit unnecessary. These things are very subjective, so others may like it a lot. I like the Kiorofoto soft eye cup, which I purchased on Amazon, quite a bit more.

Fits the Canon Rebel Xsi, and is of excellent quality. I wanted something of quality and an eyepiece that doesn't come off easily and get lost like my original Canon eyepiece. This one is a good fit, I tried pulling it off without pressing the clips and it doesn't budge! The rubber piece can be rotated too and it's an even better fit than the original one for those who wear eyeglasses. The original Canon eyepiece is flat and does not shield the light, and that has you pressing your eye and face into it, this one with its curved outward design does shield the light so you don't have to flatten your face up against the camera. All in all, a neat little addition to my camera!

It's a good accessory to have
It's a good accessory to have, cuts out a lot of light. However, on my T4i, it looks a bit off as I have to adjust for complete visibility through viewfinder. Also, the sensor on the back that disables touchscreen when you bring it close to the eyes (from unintentional touch screen selections), does not work with this on. You realize only after you keep clicking and nothing happens untill you check the screen and you accidentally are in some menu (thanks to your nose). Stopped using as I started losing shots on time.

Another Good product From Altura
Well built. Works great if you wear glasses. No complaints and no more nose prints on LCD screen.
