NARVI MINEX Electric Sauna Heater 3kw (Stainless Steel)

I was previously using a cheap sauna heater from Baltic Stoves and while it heated up OK and did the job it didn't last long. The one previous to that was cheap and didn't last long either...This one from Finnmark is much larger although it is still only 3kW and that extra space allows it to hold nearly 20kg of rocks compared to the feeble 5kg held by the Baltic Stoves heater - that makes a big difference to efficiency as it holds the heat and radiates it much better.Around the main elements and rock section is a void which acts as a natural chimney to draw air from the lower level and funnel it up to be expelled out of the top of the stove and that really improves air flow around my sauna.When I put water onto the rocks the resulting steam travels around the sauna very well now.The heater was easy to wire up as I already had the cable in place from the old heater and I kept the old control panel from the original heater so I can have an external indication of the sauna temperature, set it to a certain temperature and also have an external 'kill switch' to cut the power going to the new heater.Admittedly all of that is not necessary but the old panel was there so I used it.The controls on the Finnmark heater are very simple and are basically a temperature dial from minimum to maximum (I always go for maximum) and a timer dial.As I have the temperature set to 95 degrees C for my sauna sessions I need a reliable heater to keep the temperature up for the full duration of the session and I can hear the heater turning on and off every few minutes at full temperature.It has no problem maintaining that high temperature so I'm very pleased as I like my saunas long (45 mins to 1 hour) and I like them hot.I would definitely recommend this heater over the cheaper types which simply aren't as well made and don't have such a large capacity for stones.Don't waste money on cheap heaters - get this one instead.
