These seem to be decent.... time will tell
These just arrived today> i haven't yet installed them but a quick inspection seems that they re of decent quality. I did not notice any bent screws or screws with slag remnants on them . Same goes for the quality of the actual hardware itself. I will update this once I get the chance to get them installed on the boys Guitars,_ My reason for buying these and new guitar straps ( bought elsewhere) is that the fist time on of the boys got his out had played it he included strap was clearly crap and stretched to the point of nearly breaking with very little use.again - update coming once I get them installed.N8ACUUpdate. They were simple to install and seem to be working great.

Comically Poor Quality
I use Schaller-type locks on all of my electric guitars. I've used genuine Schallers, Fenders, Walker & Williams, and various other Schaller types. They've all been about the same quality (although not interchangeable). When the Fenders that I was going to order were showing an arrival date later than I wanted, I saw these, and thought "What the heck? They're all pretty much the same."Wrong.When these locks arrived, I grabbed two and headed to the workshop to install them. The first thing that I noticed was the thickness of the retaining washers, which is just strange, and makes installing them onto the strap even more difficult than normal, but I got the job done. Then I wen to install the strap button portion. These looked OK. I grabbed the screws and was amazed at the misshapen, crudely made piece of pot metal that was supposed to be the screw to hold the strap button to the guitar. It is crooked, poorly threaded, and lumpy. I'm not sure how you make a lumpy screw, but this manufacturer figured it out. The screws are completely unusable.I hunted around for some proper screws that would work, and soldiered on. Once installed, I "locked" my strap onto the guitar, and found the connection to be very wobbly and insecure. Just for fun, I tried a few of the other "female" connectors on the installed "male" connectors, and to my amazement found that these strap locks are built with such poor tolerances that they aren't even interchangeable between themselves. Amazing!Anyway, they're so poorly made as to be worthless. I took them off of my guitar and went to Guitar Center and bought a set of Schallers.

Love these!!!!!!
If this isn't the desk of the century. They do fit original Schallers from the 80s. Confirmed. The thread is more course, the shaft is exactly as long as Schallers. The washer is thicker so it leaves less room for the strap. I put these in a vise, put the strap on, took a utility knife and cut off excess leather from strap to make the strap sit flush on the threaded shaft. Perfect. On a really thick strap these are not going to work without a thinner washer. I did 5 straps and guitars and love them. Use original screws from guitar, you may have to file screw head to get them to fit, or use screws that come with these, they are nice screws but may or may not fit your guitar without some work filling holes for a tight fit.

NOT compatible with Schaller Strap Locks
I ordered these because they were advertised to be compatible with Schaller Strap Locks. The piece that goes on the strap DOES NOT fit the Schaller buttons I have on my guitar; they are slightly too small and will not go on all the way and lock. Luckily, there are enough sets to swap them all out.

Satisfied
Seller shipped fairly fast and everything arrived in good order. These do not appear to be as thick and strong as the real Schallers but hey they were way cheaper so I'm totally satisfied.

Good value
These strap locks are a pretty good value for the price especially considering how many you get, yes they are a little cheaper quality but you get what you pay for. However they are certainly not bad. They do the job. A lot of people seem to ne giving them a bad review because they aren’t compatible with real Schaler strap locks but I think that should be expected as they aren’t real Schaler strap locks (they worked fine with mine though)

Best way to save dropped guitars on a budget .
All seems good in mechanism of staplocks .The screws are missed matched one had a regular machine thread.Try to use your original screw to hold it in place if you can .If your strap has doubled leather ends you have to push it down before washer and screw hold if you have single thickness strap ends it’s not a problem.I’m saving up for second purchase.

They have changed them and not for the better! Not like the older ones!
The pull knob is shorter and the spring is weaker. Don't like that. The chrome finish looks cheaper and they are a bit rougher . The button part that goes on the Guitar has raised bevel on the end to take up some space in the strap end. While it could be seen as a good idea it also means they won't fit in the older strap ends you may have. It may fit a genuine Schaller but I have not checked. While the button part could be a improvement to some the over all finish and changes to the strap end have me disappointed.

Half didn't fit together
Half of the strap locks didn't fit the studs. But the seller reimbursed me for half. So it balanced out

Screw broke during live performance
You will need to buy sturdy screws. Mid song the screw broke and the strap was hanging, messed up the song live due to poor quality. Had to manually twist the screw out with pliers to fix it. Also, this product was shipped with a missing lock which i had to message them about.
