Denby Imperial Blue Medium Coupe Plate, Royal Blue

I bought 4 dinner plates at a very low price ($16.84 each). Very nice dishes, obviously, but Amazon (they are the seller) didn't mention that they are seconds - factory rejects. 3 out of 4 had small scratches in the glaze (on the surface you eat from). And not the kind of scratches you might get from aggressive handling, as they are very thin scratches - I'm sure it happened in the factory. It for sure didn't happen in shipping because the packing was terrific. The box was crushed, but inside, each dish was professionally wrapped in several layers of small-bubble bubble paper and was in perfect condition ... except for the annoying little scratches. I decided not to return them because I bought them just as extra dishes to have for solo lunches, etc., replacing some other very old ones we had for that purpose. The scratches are not super obvious if the light doesn't hit them. So it wasn't worth the hassle to return them.

Impressed! Absolutely beautiful, stunning dishes. High gloss, rich color. Like many, I thought it was a place setting FOR FOUR PEOPLE, not a FOUR PIECE SET. SO NEARLY $80 for one setting. So now I’m stuck with being in love with these dishes or having to pay way more than I planned. Ugh.

I ordered a set from the actual Denby site around the same time as this product. This one is a different size as the actual Denby glasses and is made more cheaply.

Color is ggreat. Handle works for arthritic fingers

I like the quality. They are small though. Perfect for a bowl of ice cream.

I bought this to complete a set since ai only found 3 at the store. I really like this color and they feel nice and heavy.

I love the shape, the size, and especially the glaze. It just makes me happy. It matches all the other yummy glazed pieces, but for some reason it's all about this bowl (and the coffee mug).

Bought for my partner as a moving in present after she had admired a friend's Denby Halo style breakfast bowls. These are in essence the same, but differently patterned.17cm in diameter, and quite deep, they are a substantial size for a breakfast bowl, and were admittedly purchased more with pasta in mind. However if you like a hearty bowl of Coco-Pops as I am apt to enjoy, then these will more than suffice!They are of a good, thick quality, are dishwasher and microwave safe, and are excellent at keeping the heat in.Colour is what I'd call a royal blue, with a dappled effect. Stand out, but not so vibrant as to give you eye strain.Have my partner's stamp of approval, too.Naturally they are a bit on the pricey side for bowls, and there are cheaper alternatives out there, but if you are a collector, looking to spoil yourself, or simply trying to score points with your loved ones (*whistles innocently*) they are excellent!

Many years ago I bought some blue tumblers in light glass in Sweden. My wife loved them and obviously though that they cost a fortune. Actually they came from a city centre hardware store.As happens over time, 6 became 5, then 4, then 3 etc.I bought these as a Christmas present to relieve my beloveds guilt that we were now down to 2 and she instantly adored them - result!

Everything about this unassuming cereal bowl screams quality.The simple shape, width, depth and the rich glorious deep blue colour which i have never seen in any stores ?It could stand alone as a statement piece of art.

Quality of this product is terrible. Have bought Denby for years and these are very stylish, however the glass at the rim is far too fragile. Given up on exchanging them and have wasted alot of money on 12...10 of which have ended up in the bin. Don't waste your money on this product

Glorious-looking good-sized cereal/ soup/ noodle bowl, lovely deep blue colour with complementary hued brown rim. Solidly made, haven't used to cook anything in the oven yet but apparently is oven-proof, as well as dishwasher/microwave- proof. Great for fork food.
