In this DVD Bar Method founder Burr Leonard has packaged together the Bar Methods most fast-acting body-reshaping moves into one super-targeted 59-minute workout. The exercises include four sets of thigh-work and the Bar Methods famous pretzel with the ball. Youll also use the ball to zero in on problem areas in your inner thighs and seat. Burrs fellow performers are Chelsea Glavinovich, co-owner of the Walnut Creek and San Ramon Bar Method studios in San Franciscos East Bay. Keryun Dukellis and Mike Najjar are both teachers at the San Franciscos flagship Marina studio, and Tera Roth is a teacher at the Downtown San Francisco studio. If you want the quickest results possible, this is the workout for you. What you need: * A sturdy chair or portable bar * A soft strap for stretching * Two free weights that are 2-to-4 pounds each * A 7 diameter playground ball The Bar Method integrates the fat-burning format of interval training, the muscle shaping technique of isometrics, the elongating principles of dance conditioning, and the science of physical therapy to create a revolutionary workout that quickly and safely re-shapes your entire body. The Bar Methods unique non-impact exercises target all major muscle groups and increasing physical grace. The result is a recognizable Bar Method Body that features sculpted arms, flat abs, a lifted seat and firm thighs

A good investment
I worked at a Bar Method Studio for over a year and this dvd has brought back very nice memories and is starting to help bring back what my body looked like during that time. Just 5 days in and I am seeing definition in my triceps. It is an hour long but I like Burr's teaching style. It is also reminding me of Bar Method exercises that aren't in this dvd. I think the workout is too advanced for a beginner and would suggest a few in studio classes before they buy this so they are familiar with the techniques and how your body should feel during each move.

Not intense enough
I took classes with Burr back in the 90’s in Greenwich, CT when she called it the lotte bark method. The classes were great and hard. The DVD is good but I found it so much easier than her classes. Anyway, I enjoyed seeing Burr again on screen. The DVD is a good workout but I wouldn’t recommend paying more than $15 for it.

Closely resembles a real bar method class
I absolutely adore this DVD. I did Bar Method for years and unfortunately had to quite due to rising prices (about $225 a month.) This DVD closely resembles the class and is a great alternative for those looking to save money. Doing bar method consistently (3-4 days a week) gave me the best body I have ever had. I am looking forward to getting back into the groove!P.S. This DVD is cheaper on Bar Method's website ($20)

Nice variety to add to my growing barre library
This is a keeper. Well cued exercises that sneak up on you! It's nice to have when you can't make it to a live class. The first time I did it, it felt easy. The second time I went a little deeper and more precise into the moves and found the sweet spot of struggle! Nice solid barre.

Love this work out
I own 6 Burr Reynolds Bar Method DVD's. Love them all! Great no impact work out with noticeable results.

which is great! I have only done it a few times
This workout is surprisingly hard. I teach a contemporary dance style that only uses select muscles. This workout targets muscles that don't get hit in my normal workout, which is great! I have only done it a few times, but I plan to make it a regular part of my exercise regimen.

Nice workout resembles the real bar method class
Nice workout resembles the real bar method class, but with very few repetitions of the movements .Because of that it's much less strenuous than real class. At least for me.I tried BarreAmpted Bootcamp by Suzanne Bowen and loved it!
