I've had a tank set up for long time however recently I changed the gravel and switched over to a canister filter. I ended up getting a bacterial Bloom followed by an algae Bloom. I had a Coral life sterilizer from a long time ago I hooked up. I purchased 2 of these bulbs.Attached are the Before & After photos. Clarity took about a week in a 50 gallon tank. Pump is about 50 gal/hr. Fountain pump I also purchased off Amazon.Slightly cloudy at the end of the week, just a white cloud to the water. I assume all the UV blasted particulate the filter couldn't get. A single dosing of water clarifier finished issue. Crystal clear now. Bulbs work as described, great price over brand name.

Last bulb lasted 5 months. The other 2 in reserve are tryng to ignite the bulb but no illumination. Previous order last year also had fairly short lives. I'm done with this company. Will try to see if they will except the return but not holding out hope.Like the title said - this is my first time writing a 1 star review but the product earned it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FELLOW AQUARIUM HOBBYIST, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BEYOND INFERIOR REPLACEMENT UV BULB. IT LASTED IN MY CORALIFE UV STERILIZER 5 DAYS.I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT AMAZON WOULD HAVE SUCH A LOW GRADE VENDER ON THERE SITE.DON'T BUY, DON'T BUY, DO NOT BUY!

Works with my turbo twist 3x. Although it seems like you have to have it in a certain way, unlike the official bulbs. When I first plugged it into the socket and tested it it was popping and flaring. Turned it off and flipped the bulb around, turned it on again and it has been working fine for 3 months so far. Much cheaper than the official coralife bulbs and works just as well.
