Capable Android TV with some pre-installed apps to access good content
I am a bit conflicted about this device. On one hand, it is a very capable, streaming device that includes a lot of streaming content (whether legal or unauthorized) right out of the box. On the other hand, it is not quite as user friendly as Apple TV or Fire TV boxes.PROS- Android TV operating system is very extendable like many Android phones. It can be completely customized any way you like- Comes with a generous amount of memory and can be expanded with a microSD memory card (max 128 GB) and USB drive- Has Kodi and other apps pre-installed to access legal and unauthorized content- Supports the full suite of Google Play apps, including Netflix, Plex, Prime, Hulu, games, and Google Chrome- Remote control is fairly easy to use- Device display shows time (but cannot be turned off)- Support for both 2.4 GHz and the faster 5 Ghz WiFi standard- Accepts 100 Mbps wired network connection- Comes with a Kingston 16 GB microSD memory card pre-installed- Supported my Bluetooth keyboard- With a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, paired with Google Chrome, you could use your TV as a large web browser. That's pretty neat! (Apple TV and Fire TV don't support Chrome)CONS- User interface is not very friendly at all for those coming from Apple TV or Fire TV boxes- Device display that shows time cannot be turned off for those who have trouble sleeping with any light on in the room- Some apps would benefit greatly from a mouse-based/touch-based navigation and can be challenging to navigate withoutFor a technical person who likes tinkering with their streaming TV box that runs Android (and all the benefits the operating system provides) with the ability to access authorized and unauthorized content, this is a good device. For the tech-challenged person, I still recommend the Apple TV or Fire TV boxes more. To browse the web, this TV box works well too with a paired Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and Google Chrome. If you found this review helpful, please hit the "Yes/Helpful" button below to encourage me to write more. Thank you!

Best Android TV box for the money
I have purchased quite a few Google/Android based TV boxes over the years. Most have been great. Some have been average. One or two have been flops. This one falls into the great category and is one of the best I’ve used yet.The form factor is great and it looks very slick. That’s a huge plus. Some of these have been cheap looking and appear clunky. The round appearance and LED display make this a thing of beauty on the entertainment center.I like the speediness of this device. The interface is fantastic and simple to use. It’s extremely easy to setup and customize everything to your liking. The remote is high quality and beats even Roku, Apple, and Amazon. It’s actually useful and far more intuitive. Yes, traditional buttons are still important in the smart tv era.It also comes in at a great price point. I’ve paid twice as much for similar devices. So that is a huge plus, especially since this one is so much better.

Incredible potential if you know what you're doing
Are you good with android phones? Are you good with Android Tablets? If so this is should be pretty easy to setup, tweak and configure. The remote is programmable so it can operate power \volume on the TV as well.I was looking to create a simple home video conferencing system - where I could use at TV and a web cam and be able to conference with people. I'm an IT guy by trade, so I figured I'd start with one of those windows based micro computers, you know the type, the computer on a stick or the really small box one people rave about.Slow as crap and crashed constantly.Wound up mid-conference having to go to my android tablet, and that's when it struck me - use ANDROID.Logitech web cam, logitech wireless keyboard with track pad, plugged both in, configured this box and put Skype on it - works great. snappy, sharp picture, no lag, no issues crashing from other things running. and it's half the cost of what the windows box was!but that's not all I used it for... with my streaming sticks I could view my RING cams from Fire Stick, but no Roku and I couldn't see my PetCube cameras from either. This box works with both apps, so I can remote view any of my cameras from the conference room. Youtube and Plex for entertainment Microsoft viewers if I wanted to open \ edit \ present any of my documents. life is good!

1st Box Great but 2nd Box is Garbage
Let me start by saying this is my second time purchasing this particular model in the last month. I LOVE MY FIRST BOX!! It worked flawlessly right out of the box and came with awesome features, that is why I decided to purchase a second box. To my surprise the second box is pretty much garbage. It keeps rebooting every few seconds and when it is not rebooting it randomly blacks out completely. I spent over an hour trying to set up my apps and iptv service without any luck. I tried unplugging and plugging back in the power and even bought a better quality HDMI cable and same annoying problem persists. I really wanted to give this 5 stars but now I am worried my first box might end up like the piece of garbage I just received.
