As a humidifier, it pretty much does what it is supposed to do. It puts mist into the air. It turns on and off. It sounds like a cool mist humidifier sounds. It looks like a cool mist humidifier, not a piece of artwork.HOWEVER, whoever designed this one must have owned a problematic humidifier in the past, because all of the issues we've had with other humidifiers, this one seems to solve.1) the opening is wide for easy access to the full tank for easy cleaning. You can actually see in there and get in there.2) the cover has a satisfying and functional rubber seal with a lock and unlock position, making it easy to open and close3) the tank is flat on the top instead of a stupid "teardrop" shape, meaning that you can set it down on the counter and it will stand up by itself while you fill it. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT and makes life so much easier- the teardrop ones you need two hands to hold the tank and a third hand to fill it4) the power cord is extra long and with a sturdy box shaped plug, meaning that you can actually place the humidifier where you need it. The last humidifier I owned had just a normal plug to it and a shorter cord, and since you have to unplug it and take it to the sink to empty it, the cord eventually bent and frayed at the base of the plug and became an electrical hazard. This one wont do that5) there is a dial setting that controls "more mist" or "less mist" on a continuum, instead of one button that you keep pushing to try to get it to a setting that you wantThese are all little things that make the difference between a product that makes your life easier versus one that adds more tedious work to your life. After replacing our old one with this one I kept exclaiming to my husband "this one is so much BETTER!" and his remark was that I should write a review.

This is just what I wanted; bought it for the bedroom, with some misgivings - the room is large and we live in AZ, where the summer humidity level hovers around 6%. But this performs adequately. It's extra quiet, cleans and fills easily, and, on a low setting (our preference) sends out a great mist. Although we have very hard water, I manage to avoid buying (and lugging home!) bottles of distilled water; I just clean it well daily, with diluted white vinegar, which eliminates any calcium. I may buy another for my kitchen.UPDATE, 6MONTHS LATER: I initially said this cleans easily, and I retract that. There are too many hard-to-reach small crevices that are attractive places for mold to grow, almost overnight. I still use it, but dread the cleasning time every other day.

This humidifier works well and makes no sound at all. The downside is you have to take off the top unit, turn it upside down, unscrew a cap, and fill it from the bottom. It would be much more convenient if we were able to fill it from the top without having to take it apart.The other part that I find annoying is that when I take off the top part to refill it, the base always has at least a half inch of water in it. I always feel the need to dump the water out because it comes close to a little tube sticking out of the base that has a little warning to not let water inside it. That seems like a design flaw.Other than that, we've had no issues. At the midway setting, it usually lasts us 1-1.5 days.

I love this little humidifier! The tank opening is huge, where you fill it and clean. It is half the size of the base, a wonderful feature to make it easy for cleaning and filling. I live in a 500 square foot studio and as you can see it’s only half the size of the glass baking dish “tray” I placed under to protect the rug. I ran it overnight, but covered the blue power light indicator, it was too bright for me. The fan hums lightly, noises tend to bother me, this one does not, it was the same noise level of a light tower fan running.I’m only using distilled water to lower buildup and keep cleaning easy. The mist goes up at a slight angle off a vertical maybe a 15° angle. After running it overnight there was no dampness on the rug or in the glass dish tray. I ran it on the lowest possible setting and immediately the humidity went up a few percentage points and stayed steady throughout the night. I also love the rotating dial for mist adjustment and the satisfactory *click* when you turn it off. Another bonus, it has low water protection so when there’s not enough water in the humidifier it will stop misting and the LED indicator will turn red. I love that safety feature, since it will prevent overheating and keep the atomizer from getting damaged. I will update this after it’s been running for a few weeks.

Really enjoyed this humidifer for the first few weeks. However, within month of receiving this humidifier, it started making a very loud, alarming noise upon turning it on. I reached out to the manufacturer's customer support who recommended that I remove the tank and allow the base to air out upside down for 24 hours—which did nothing. The only thing that ever seems to help is unscrewing the bottom plate from the base, rearranging the power cord and manually cleaning the fan as best as I possibly can. Considering I use reverse-osmosis water rather than tap, I shouldn't have to literally deconstruct the unit as often as I do to hopefully make it work as intended. Will not be purchasing another product from Homasy/Victsing again.
