Pacific Giftware Standing Isis Statue Egyptian Goddess Bronze Finish

As an artist/ museum professional, I own a number of statues which depict Gods and Goddesses from various religious and mythological traditions. I just purchased this statue and cannot take my eyes off of her! This rendering of Isis is so unique compared to how she is almost always depicted - winged, seated and polychromed; which to me tends to diminish and cheapen her importance in the Eyptian pantheon. Here, Isis is displayed in a more human, yet incredibly royal and powerful incarnation. The detail is truly amazing from her sun disc headpiece, to her beautiful garments, jewels and shield; and let's not forget her fierce expression and stance; this Goddess means business! If you look up Isis' attributes as a Goddesss, you will find they are many; consequently, it is why she is considered the Mother of all Goddesses and Queen of the Heavens. All of this and more is captured in this museum quality statuesque piece and the size is perfect; were she larger, she would be overwhelming and costly! All hail, Isis!

First of all, this piece is beautifully designed and looks great overall.Flaw: The stance of the figure is anatomically off balance. Meaning, in real life she would fall over. Her right foot should be a little to the left. However, there's a big shield in front of her and you can't see her right foot anyway. So, as long as you're viewing this statue from the front it's beautiful.Well worth the money.

I was very pleased with the Goddess Isis. She is 10 9/16 inches tall, not the 12 inches stated. The base measures 3 1/8 inches in width and 2 ½ deep. The shield is about 3 7/8 inches at the widest part.There’s a lot of detail added to Isis with just little bits of color but it really brings out her beauty. There is a tiny touch of red to the disk on her headdress as well as some purple down the sides of her wing headdress. The top has small cobras that surround the emblem of the throne of Egypt which is the sun disk between the cow horns and it is combined with the vulture headdress. There’s a little bit of greenish patina to the collar around her neck as well as the scarab on her chest. The body of the scarab is polished to bring out its detail. Her skirt, which is harder to see from the front (it’s covered up by the shield) is really pretty too. Lots of crisscross jewels and belt. You can see some of this from the back. There are also little details that you wouldn’t expect. She is wearing a bracelet and rings. The shield Isis holds has a lotus flower which is was one of her symbols. They’ve highlighted it with a touch of light green. The lotus is circled in raised brown stones all set in the oval shield.The goddess is looking off in the distance holding the shield and has a serene yet determined look on her face. This is a very fitting statue for the principle goddess of Egypt. She is the embodiment of nature and magic. Her name Ast or Aset means throne or seat.The brushed bronze finish is very attractive and the statue is heavy enough not to tip over easily.There was no Egyptian Hieroglyphics on the base of the one I got.

Covered this in plasti dip and put it in my planted tank! I love her!

I've had my eye on this statue for a rather long time. Finally caved in and bought her. The detail is brilliant,the colours highlight all the lovely craftsmanship. I am extremely proud and honored to have stand on my altar.

This is a beautiful piece, the detail is very nice, however my disappointment is the overall size. While the print states its 12"H - its more like maybe just under 11. When I pulled this out of the packaging, it felt more like a barbie doll. I am a true admirer of art, and like looking for unique pieces you can't find off the shelf in bulk retail. While I do intend to keep it, I think its a bit over priced considering what you get. 29.99 would make it a more reasonable buy, so you don't feel cheated. So if you're looking for that stand out piece, this one is nice, wonderful detail, just a little small for the money

I am very pleased with this product for a couple of reasons: First, it arrived with impressive speed - only two days after I ordered it. Second, although the figure is small, the details are beautifully clear, and great care has been used during the design and casting processes. The figure has a nice weight, and feels very solid. Since my altar space is limited at present, this statue is perfectly proportioned to occupy space there without overpowering the other items. Altogether I am very happy with this purchase.
