Does what it needs to do
Ok so some good and bad reviews for this - I needed it to help my mum swap from her landline to VoIP using her existing phones and without hassle. Ultimately it is doing its job, she is using her existing landline phones which are plugged into the relevant port and then the drive is plugged into her router - the sound is good and vocals are clear. The setup wasn't so straightforward despite having the settings from the VoIP provider. Firstly locating the ip address to access the built in setup pages was a faf (ultimately I logged in to my router homepage before plugging the device jn - then once plugged in I could see which new ip was being used and located the setup pages)From there I had to locate the relevant settings I needed to change and there's a lot of information on these pages that I didn't need.Once setup tho it was a breeze and for the money I highly recommend it

Works Perfectly
Saw a few bad reviews due to software etc but I didn't let it put me off and was happy to find it works perfectly, had no issues so far and does as I wanted which was to pipe a VoIP provider to a normal landline phone, highly recommended!

Setup was nice and easy. (Once i had decided on a Provider)
Very easy to set up out of the box. I used SOHO66 as my Voip supplier and they had a step by step guide that made setting things up simple. You just need to follow the changes that are made very carefully as one mistake and it will not work. Once the changes were made it took 30 mins for it all to start working correctly.Overall a great little box that sits on the shelf giving us great Voip services.

That it works for more than 24 hours
Only worked for a day then locked up. Had to sent it back with all my information still in the unit resulting in myself having to reset my passwords for my SIP account.Unit's were made in 2011 and tech has moved on so only suitable for the trash can in my view.

Linksys Branded
Small device, well packaged. comes complete with RJ45 network cable, and UK plug. This item was set up within minutes, and now I can use my own BT landline with my SIP telephone line. Back to a wireless phone, as opposed to having to use a business corded telephone. Just what I wanted. Thanks!

Solid VOIP Option, Save Money = No Landline
Assuming the build quality is the same I would strongly recommend this as an option for voice calls over internet.I wanted to keep the bills down on my house services and negotiated a broadband only connection from my provider. Using this VOIP box, plugged into my wifi router, and the Sipgate service I set up a new number for our local area. Friends and family can call us as before using this box and we can call out, which I mostly do for work. Calls are cheap and there is no line rental with Sipgate. We have set up pay as you go billing and hardly pay anything but still have a phone in the house. Overseas calls are very reasonable and this is one of the reasons I wanted the box - rather than using one of the other types of service.Be aware that if you want to use this approach to call emergency services then it must be set up correctly through Sipgate.I have now used this product for more than 10 years via the SIPGATE.co.uk portal. I had to purchase another unit about 5 years ago due to an electricity spike killing my first unit. The call quality is very good and preferable to mobile quality calls. It was easy to set up following Sipgate's guides, although this could be a little intimidating for a novice.
