JVCC Premium Grade Electrical Tape [8 mils Thick] (EL7566-AW): 2 in. (48mm Actual) x 66 ft. (Black)

Bought the tape for non-electrical uses. It is tough, and there is a lot of it. Because of its width and thickness, it does not flex much, like narrower electrical tape. When using it for specialty applications, it wraps but generally does what it wants to. You cannot easily get it to behave. If you are using it on hand held things, sometimes the end of the tape--though it does not let loose--will slide and leave an adhesive residue, so keep wrapping until the end is in an out of the way place. This reduces the chance of the tape moving on you later. Likewise, because it is less flexible, if you are wrapping something that has an uneven width, the tape ends up being like a collar on a shirt and sticking out a little in places, especially on the ends. In short, I use it to cover a lot of area quickly and to add thickness to a handle.

Ok, why is it so hard to find two inch tape for a reasonable price. Black electrical tape in two inch is perfect for lots of home repairs,,,, and even for electrical fittings. I end up wrapping the 1 inch tape over and over for large repairs or areas I need black tape.This roll is great. The tape is easy to peel off, has good adhesion, is thick and does the job.A good product at a good price

Of course it's just a bit wide for normal electrical work, but I use it for 'light shields' around windows for a church media center. This wide, black tape is perfect for keeping out unwanted ambient light from the outside, is of a high grade and is well worth the money......but, alas, I already SAID that.'Needing some good, wide electrical tape? BUY IT!

It does appear to be a premium tape in thickness and the adhesive seems to work well. Only time will tell how well it holds up.

Great quality tap thick, strong and sticks good, I used it to cover the door sill edge on my pickup truck. The paint was being rubbed off from peoples legs rubbing on the sill when getting in and out of the truck, kind of high and hard getting in, it worked great and is holding up great even though it gets kicked and scuffed all the time, there is enough to cover the era over and over if I need to and it matches the dark blue color well.

Much thicker then the hardware store carries, great for big wires where you would be going around 8 to 20 times with a smaller roll width and wasting it all.

Terrible tape, bet you it was on the shelf for years before i got it, did not stick to anything. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!

Excellent electricians tape, definitely deserves the title "premium". Everything is top quality: adhesive, surface, thickness, stretch & elasticity. I bought this to wrap a powder-coated metal frame to avoid friction damage from rubbing. Worked perfectly - initial wrapping still looks perfect after 2 years of hard use. I would buy this again!
