You have to have one of these if you have kids in car seats!
I don't know why I never thought of ordering one of these before. Trying to get preschoolers into their car seats in a downpour is insane. By the time they are both strapped in I generally look like I've just stepped out of the shower. This is a wonderful Poncho! It's a richer rose color and it's made of polyester and it's absolutely water repellent. It's kind of flowy so if there's wind happening you will still get a little wet but it's large enough for me to wear and have my backpack purse on underneath it. It's got a nice hood that fits all the way over my big head to help keep me from looking like a drowned rat. If it's well but I almost wish it was just a little bit longer. I may need to have another one so I can keep one in the car and one in my house. it's too bad I had to wait until they were in preschool to realize that this was a good option. Our next home will have a garage as I didn't realize how much I would miss it.

Professional all weather dog hiker tested and approved!!
Yup, you read that right. I am a professional dog hiker. I take dogs off leash pack hiking on the foothill and mountain trails around the Salt Lake valley every morning, M-F for 3-5 miles (an hour and a half) in ANY weather (rain, snow, sleet, hail or blazing sun). This poncho has become one of the things I can't live without in my dog van. I have put it to the test in rain, sleet and snow and stayed nice and dry! It's thick without feeling heavy. I love the hood. I love that you can make/adjust the "sleeves" with the snaps. That is SUPER useful. That way you can pop your hands out of small openings if you need to use them (which I do) but can easily pull your arms and and hands back inside for full coverage when needed. I have a top of the line Mammut brand rain jacket that used to be the only thing I would use in wet conditions, however, I also wear a Camelbak backpack that isn't water proof. It does come with a waterproof shell to protect most of the pack when needed, but I have to pull that out and put it on which can be a pain and it doesn't protect the entire bag. Also, the jacket and rain shell do nothing for my legs. In 5 seconds I can throw this poncho on over my body AND my backpack and have full dryness coverage from my head to about my shins. I wear waterproof hiking boots and water resistant socks and pants on rainy days so that pretty much means completely dry! I can't tell you what a difference it makes to be able to hike without having soggy undies! I have also put this poncho to the test walking through scrub bushes and trees and have had ZERO tears or rips in the fabric. 5 stars very well earned! Oh and I also love that it comes with a little zipper pouch to store it in when dry and that it actually CAN be folded up and put back in there easily after the first use haha. RECOMMEND!

Surprisingly well made; lightweight, but effective and large enough for this XL tall gal
I didn't actually expect this to be large enough for me. I'm 5'10" and size XL. But it works fine. Sure , the sleeves are sort of 3/4 sleeves with outstretched arms, but when my arms are near my body, it's fine (and possible too much fabric for very petite women).Secondly, I didn't expect it to be especially well made, but it is. It's a two-way zipper and has nylon snaps, a self-fabric drawstring through the hood, pockets. No exposed seams; they're all enclosed. Extra rubberized seam-sealing tape at the neck and sides. The snaps are almost too sturdy for the lightweight fabric, so open them carefully. It is indeed lightweight, and packs into an included bag roughly 9x8 inches. It seems like what I think of as old-school windbreaker material and that it might not be very waterproof. But the fabric in practice is much better than I was expecting. I took it to the kitchen sink and let water run on it... the other side stayed dry. Despite this, I still suspect that it would not be incredibly effective in a prolonged downpour, but it would be surprisingly helpful.Stinks when you open it, but I forgive it. Let it air out for a bit and it's fine.Mine is close to a kelly green, not the dark teal shown. Which is a shame because I dearly love teal, but the kelly green is nice.Given the small packing size, for me this will be a helpful thing to leave in the car for unexpected rain. (I have an umbrella in the car as well, but sometimes that's not the right thing.)Much nicer than I'd expected.

Attractive, Practical, and Well Made ... I Love It ...
I am in love with the "Women's Lightweight Stylish Rain Poncho Love" that is labeled as a product from Staraxy. This colorful poncho is well made and, for me at 5' 1", the perfect length to protect me a majority of my leg length. The back extends to midcalf and the front to just below my knee. I love that this poncho is not the typical yellow or plain color. The pattern is tasteful and distinctive enough that you will stand out in a crowd. The construction of this poncho is excellent. The nylon zipper is placketed so that your clothing is not exposed should you pull the zipper down slightly. The zipper is large enough that it is not difficult to zip or unzip. The hood has a drawstring so that you can tighten it and keep most of your head - with the exception of portions of your face dry. The polyester exterior of the poncho sheds light showers and the lining should help keep you dry during heavier rains. Because this poncho is roomy, you can wear a jacket or sweater under it for added warmth. The poncho comes in a matching zippered pouch that has a hook and loop so you can attach it to your backpack or handbag. I did have some difficulty folding the poncho to place it back in the pouch, but eventually succeeded.
