I was surprised by...
I bought this as more of a novelty item. One of my partners is into leather & whips & chains and things ( among other things 😉) so when I bought this bull whip I was more thinking of it as a prop for esthetic and shock value purposes... I was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality looked and felt good (even though I am not exactly a seasoned whip handler) especially for the price. As I played with my new toy I became increasingly intrigued by the practice of whip handling and cracking. I did some research and have now instituted a whip handling routine as a daily workout. This inexpensive 6ft whip seems a really good place to start. I've consistently been training with it now for about 6 weeks. I think I'm really starting to get it as my " cattleman's/ loop crack" is becoming easier to handle. I've even started to work ambidextrous (really hard for me but rewarding) to add diversity to my routine and am even looking in to upgrading to a higher quality whip now ( I'm struggling to get the overhand flick or any other hairpin cracks consistently and I feel a heavier [ higher plait count, I believe this one is an 8 plait starter style] whip will be the ticket to start landing this style of whip cracking and handling). I really like this piece and I am even going to try and purchase my upgraded whip from this seller. With it they included replacement crackers/ poppers and basic, simple to understand handling, use, care and maintenance instructions. If you are starting out and thinking about it go ahead and give this bull whip a try for sure!

Decent Beginner Whip
Okay, so do note, I am a complete noobie when it comes to whips. I want to start doing this as a hobby, and I thought a cheap whip would be a good place to start. From what I can tell, the whip is well made, and I did get it to crack a few times but I can also tell my technique is absolutely garbage compared to what I've seen on YouTube. This will take time to get better, but I'd rather start with a cheap whip in case I end up completely hating this hobby and ultimately never using the whip again. I don't want to pay $150-$250 for a whip I'll only use a handful of times. I'll write an update after I've had more practice with this thing. READ THE DESCRIPTION, it's important to note that you must break the whip in. Do not try to stretch it or apply oils or you risk destroying the whip. I am taking a star away because the description noted that extra crackers and this wasn't the case. Not a deal breaker for me though, it's a $50 whip, but I think this is good for starting out. Worst case, this is harder to use than a good whip so if I decide to upgrade, the next whip will be much easier to use.

Amazing whip
Look, I have been plaqued by insects in the backyard of my newly acquired home. It is a modest and rural property ensconced on the side of a hill. The scenery is such that it makes one instantly feel as if they have been transported to some primordial forest unblemished by human trespass. So you can see my predicament when I was being kept from enjoying this one corner of the property by these bothersome bugs. What was I to do? Well I hate suspense so I will tell you. I bought this whip. After only a short couple of day’s of practice I was whipping the clothes right off my spouse much to their pleasure and then I knew I was ready. I attacked those bugs with a ferocity that surprised even myself. The lightness and flexibility of the whip spurred me on almost more than my sense of vengeance against these stinging beasts. After what felt like hours the buzzing finally ceased. As I finally surveyed this corner of the lawn I discovered a small impression in the ground. Bending down, I cleared the dead leaves and acorn tops that had accumulated in the depression and discovered a small opening just large enough for me to fit inside.Using the strength and length of the whip, I fastened one end to a nearby tree and lowered myself into the cave. A flick of my wrist returned this beautiful whip to me and I used it, once again to great affect, to clear the spider webs from the opening I had entered.Ok finish the story in your reply!Great whip though, buy it and have an adventure all your own!

Great Indy whip
I use this for my Indiana Jones cosplay. It’s great for the price. I think Indy’s whip was 10 or 12 feet long but the 8 foot whip was right for the price for cosplay.

My teen son loves it
I got this as a Christmas present for my son, he’s been using some braided strips of material, meant as a curtain tie back, as a whip to target things. He’s pretty good with the clumsy material whip and the Nintendo switch game he wanted was preorder and not out yet so I thought I’ll get him a whip to open. He loves it! He’s been using it so much his arm has gotten sore. He’s targeting things and knocking stuff over, he’s wrapped it around multiple tree branches all different girths and it sticks so well, my daughter had to climb the tree to unwrap the whip. They all swung from it when it was wrapped on the branch. It cracks loudly too, sounds like a 22 rifle. It’s really nice and performs better than I expected. I really had my doubts about it wrapping around a tree branch and being able to swing from it but thankfully my doubts were wrong.

I love it, definitely will buy another one.
I bought this as my first whip. I understand that you get what you pay for, but this whip has a very affordable price, and its quality is great for the cost. I’ve read other reviews about bad quality or quick deterioration, but before using it, I made sure to read a lot about beginner mistakes and whip care. It's been two really exciting weeks with its cracks.

Good enough for cosplay
This is not a real bullwhip. It’s intended for cosplay and is by no mean durable enough for real-time whipping around. This is great for cosplay because of its look. Remember folks you get what you pay for. Real bullwhips are expensive and built handmade by professional artisans. These are fun toys meant to provide an aesthetic. Real bullwhips run for several hundred dollars to several thousand depending on the intended use.
