These shoes are adorable and lightweight. They do not feel heavy on your feet. They are breathable. I am between sizes. I am what would be a 7.25, complicated by a big toe that can't handle even the slightest pressure and bouts of plantar fasciitis, so I usually order a 7 or 7.5, depending on the fit -- 8 as a last resort. Consequently, I have a really, really hard time finding shoes that fit and feel reasonably comfortable. I need to have a thick, cushiony sole (check), sole flexibility (check), reasonably roomy toe box (check), and breathability of the upper (check).I asked if these shoes ran large or small so I could order the right size the first time. All my answers came back that they ran big, but I decided to order the 8 rather than the 7 anyway. I can tell this was the right choice as the 8 are a little big, but wearing a sock took care of that, and the 7 would have been too small. I am moderately disappointed by this, since I intended to wear them barefoot. I bought them mostly for touring while traveling, and they should fit the bill, so I won't return them. I imagine if I walk long enough and my feet start to swell, I can remove the sock and wear the shoes barefoot, as I originally intended, although the insole is a little rough for bare feet.The Velcro closure is a little scant and if you wear these shoes with a sock or swollen feet, the strap won't adhere. You can fix this (although you shouldn't have to, they should just make the strip longer) by adding a strip of Velcro to the strap, connecting it to the piece already there) and you will be able to have more adjustment leeway.

Grey . I have arthritis in my feet. Conventional sneakers are great except that the pain I have is concentrated on the tops of my feet. With the straps and easy slip on, I can ease into the shoe and the pain nearly diminishes. These are not running shoes by any means but for comfort and standing, they are lovely. I totally love them!

I purchased these shoes - just to use one! I had broken my “Great Toe” and was confined to the dreaded “boot’. Anyone who has had that experience knows how awkward the lopsided effect can be! I have shoes of different thickness, but none brought my healthy foot up to the level of the “booted” one - until this “Git-up” model! Perfect in the short term and perfect now that I am in the “weaning” stage, spending time in the boot and then in the regular shoe. Great for injury recovery and beyond! I purchased the exact size I wear and it was perfect!

I need to pay more attention when shopping online. I thought I was buy Ryka shoes but the price should have alerted me! I have no complaints about these shoes, except that the color is not what appears in the photographs! I thought I was getting red, but the pair I got has a black "undertone".

Soooo happy with these shoes! After reading so many reviews relating to different foot problems and so many people having success with these shoes, I decided to give them a try. I absolutely hate looking for shoes to buy. Between having had surgery for hallux rigidus for both big toes, having some hammer toes and some arthritis in toes , I have an extremely hard time finding shoes that work for me. These have felt great from the moment I put them on especially in the toe box where I really need room . Very comfortalble ! There is also a little bit of an arch which was a really nice surprise. Just purchased a second pair!

Chose these in place of tennis shoes so I wouldn't have to reach down to tie laces. Comfortable and great support. Am ordering another pair in black.

I have edema in my feet and ankles. Sometime ago I ordered Longbay diabetic slippers and found them not only to be comfortable but easy to walk in and not slip while wearing. Encouraged by this I decided to try some other brands as well to have more than one pair so that I could clean them regularly. This time I tried the women’s comfortable working nurse shoes and was encouraged by the fact that they were Velcro closures, which would be easy for my arthritic hands to adjust the tightness of the fit based on how much edema I had at the time. Unfortunately for me the strap that goes across on this particular product does not stop or comfort the Adema while wearing. In fact, the area which you can see by the picture that shows skin all the strap is on Calex swelling condition and I don’t need a slipper that is going to encourage edema. Sing for some people the openness of the shoe would make it more cooler in warm weather Another reason I will not buy this particular product again is because the steadiness of walking with this particular soul is sometimes difficult for me because of the design of the soul. the other product, having a flat soul does not make me feel so unsteady . It is not an uncomfortable shoe just not right for me as I don’t want extra edema or unsteadiness while wearing them.
