JCJ ENTERPRJCJ M-500 Mud Dauber Screen for RV Furnace Outside Fitting

I always install dauber screens on my RVs. My new RV needed screens for the furnaces that were a different shape than on previous RVs. These screens fit differently than expected, because I was looking at the shape, not how they mounted. These fit inside the vent cover, not outside with springs. At first I was disappointed, but after installation, I like them better than the other style. You will sometimes lose screens that fit outside and are held on with springs, these are more secure. Also, these are not as obvious, since they are not hanging on outside the vent.

Perfect fit for my Atwood furnances. Only thing preventing 5 stars is it should have included a small spring to attachit to the exhaust face, under the cover. I used the spring that came with my older round exterior bug screen thatthis replaced. Otherwise, its perfect, thank you!

Bought this for my new travel trailer furnace to protect it from Mud Daubers and other critters. It is easy to install. You just remove the furnace exterior cover screws, set over the exhaust port and reinstall the screws. This model doesn't use springs to hold it in place, It is held in place by the furnace cover. The installation took all of about 2 minutes. The screen covers the exhaust port and the slotted louvers so no critters can get into the furnace. I had friends that had major damage from Mud Dauber nests, this small cost is worth it to avoid unwanted surprises in the future.

Picked up this screen after reading about problems other RV owners have had with bugs getting into the outside furnace vent. Installation was a snap and only took about 10 minutes to remove and replace the panel. Hardest part was to make sure I had the right screw driver so I did not damage the screw heads. I thought about just making one but this was designed using a heavy screen (not like a standard window screen material) and formed to match the opening. Well worth the investment.

All campers should use these, this product saved a sure fire, we accidentally left a roll of plastic snow fence up against furnace outlet and this screen kept it from getting into exhaust and furnace, it melted on screen and safely kept it from catching on fire. Although this is intentionally to keep hornets nesting, it works as a safeguard when you rub against it.
