i used this to reattach a rainguard on my car. after trying a different, off brand which wouldn’t even stay stuck to the guard, i ordered this. should’ve got it the first time. width was just right. i made sure to clean both surfaces well (did so with that other crap brand also) ..stuck the 3M onto the guard then onto my car and that was pretty much it. quick /easy i didn’t drive it or wash, anything like that until 24 hours later so as to give the adhesive time to bond, as recommended, and so far has been just fine..no complaints..so in my opinion definitely worth it! worked perfectly for me, for what i purchased it to do. not expensive either. i would buy again if need be. also, i’ll mention that this was the only place i could find this tape in the width i needed..everywhere else only seemed to have either 1/4” (too narrow) or 1” (too wide) so that was a big factor for me as well

I used this tape to mount the holder in the picture and it did not disappoint. However, it is very thin tape so you have to place it on an area that is not recessed in any way. My biggest complaint is the fact that after you place the tape, it is extremely difficult to remove the other side of the tape strip before sticking it the desired surface. Overall, this is an excellent alternative to drilling holes for screws or hammering nails into your surfaces. Excellent adhesion which is the bottom line for this product.

Very good tape

When the tape arrived, I was dismayed that it had no apparent adhesive backing at all. I was going to send it back but called the manufacturer, 3M Company, first. The designer there told the tape needs pressure, something like 15 pounds per square inch, to activate the adhesive which gets stronger and stronger over time. I tried pressure and it turns out the tape works as advertised. I decided to keep the tape even though it was no longer needed for its original intended purpose.

Got this to help stick up a power extension hub without drilling holes into my wall. I put 4 pieces on the back of the hub and it’s been holding strong for the last month! Works great! Thanks!

This tape just puts all other D/S tape to shame! It stick to every surface that i have used it on (porous and flat), and it is still stuck to this day! I used it to hold LED lights that get very hot, and this tape holds on no problem due to its high temp rating. I do admit that the backing is a little tedious to remove, but i found that a small pair of needle-nose pliers works great! I tried removing a few test sections, and you can pull it off gently as long as it has only been applied for a few minutes; after a few days, forget about it ever coming off. If you do rip it off after a few days, the tape just destroys itself and is still stuck to both surfaces! The best!

Automotive industry staple, trust me don't skimp and buy the cheap stuff. 3m all the way, from moldings to emblems, trim etc this stuff will stick. The key to all adhesives and this one being no different is you need a CLEAN surface before you use the tape. Depending on the surface we are cleaning be sure to use at least an alcohol like denatured alcohol, or else we often use a lacquer thinner on clearcoated surfaces. You clean the surface this stuff sticks like no other. Why amazon asks to rate how easy it is to remove is beyond me, this is not temporary tape, you stick something with this it's for life. No it's not easy to remove but isn't that the point?

Soy una persona muy tonta, porque solo mire la foto y lo encargué creyendo que me iba a servir para un trabajo que iba a realizar, cuando me llegó me di cuenta de que era muy pequeño y no me sirvió para lo que yo lo ocupaba, me quede con la pieza pero tube que comprar otro más caro para salir del apuro en el que estaba y tenía que terminar..

Excelente, la volvería a comprar, me salió super barata. El único detalle es que no viene en su detalle original, pero el adhesivo se encuentra intacto.
