It’s hard work but very worth it!
Have been using this sawmill a lot lately, and it works great! Yeah, the directions sucked but through some trial and error and some common sense you’ll figure it out. Keep your chain sharp so you don’t have to seesaw the saw and you’ll get smoother cuts. Also get a 10.25” circular saw and will make your life a whole lot easier.

Good product!!!
Just received the mill today and put it together. It was very simple to assemble and seems to be fairly well built. I was skeptical when I started pulling the parts out of the box because they were light and felt cheap. After it was assembled I was surprised at how sturdy it felt. As long a you aren’t out throwing the thing around I can see it lasting quite awhile. I might order a second one to have on hand in case this one get wore out. Great price and good construction.

Works great for the price you cant beat it
Good cheap alternative to more expensive brands. I've used granburg Alaskan mills before and this isnt quite there in quality but is half the price. I had no issues setting it up or using it. All parts were included. The scale isnt accurate so it got 4 stars for that. I had no bar warp issues like other reviews say. The directions I found sufficient for assembly... I'm a mechanic by trade so it doesnt take much for me to figure these sort of things out. I will say if you have never used an Alaskan mill to read up and get guidance from someone that has. There are a lot of hazards with having high powered saws hooked to this thing.I was using my husqvarna 390xp I have bigger saws but with a 36 inch bar I didnt need more saw. There were some complaints about the 36 inch model not cutting 36 inches... just to clarify it will accept a 36 inch bar. Not cut 36 inches. 32 to 34 depending on your set up is what you will get out of a cut. If you need a 36 inch cut you should get the bigger model and longer bar.

Worth it.
Bought to cut cedar and oak planks.Takes a good bit of time to set up proper but once you get there it's pretty awesome. Somewhat addicting really.Echoing what others have said, you will need at least a 24in saw to really get the good solid use out of it. I started with a 20" switched to a 24" and am now looking for a 36".Recommend buying a "ripping" chain for whatever saw you plan to use.Keep your saw oiled. Take your time, make sure everything is tight, let the saw work. Make sure that first cut is nice and straight and you won't have an issue

It’s a workout
Worked fine, some weld nuts weren’t the most secure.

GREAT SAWMILL!
This saw mill is exactly as it is intended for, I put it on my 36" saw and cut a 32" redwood plank in two 2" planks in about 15 minutes. SS and all Material is sturdy with all hardware included. The jig was easy to assembled. I did have a mall issue with some hardware, I contacted the seller and the company was very responsive and was able to resolved my concern. They shipped my parts ASAP! Photos are from the sawmill jig and my Redwood project Plank. This will be my office desk tabletop. If ever I decide to purchase a secondary jig for my others saws, this will definitely be my choice. In addition, the five stars ratings are for the following:1. Quality product and built2. Hardware3. Assembly4. Customer Service

works great ... once it is assembled
This mill works great. I slabbed the base of a large birch tree today creating about 20 really smooth pieces. I am using a 24 inch bar on a Husqvarna 460 saw. The slabs are very smooth and look like they will only require a bit of sanding before I use them for my CNC projects. Regarding assembly, the only included instructions are a couple of pictures: one with the parts numbered and layed out and the other a kind of exploded view to show how the thing goes together. Since I have previously used (borrowed) an original Alaskan Mill a few years ago, assembly was not too challenging but I can see how people might find it tricky. They do include a link to an instruction video but I never actually needed it. This mill works just as well if not better than the Alaskan.

Good product, might need some additional welding.
Great product!Works exactas described.I only gave 4 stars because one of the guides weld broke off first time using it. I had to re-weld it.
