These tags are different than other aluminum tags where they have a layer of card board covered by a thin layer of aluminum. Problem with those tags is that they start falling apart after a year or so. These tags are all Aluminum and should last for long time. Tags are thick enough to write with a ball pen or a pointed object but not too thick where it will be difficult to write on. Ties are not good but I just used my own 18g aluminum wire.

These are thin but that makes it easier to write on them. I used a pencil to imprint on them. The ties are great to adhere to plant/bush/tree. Don't know about weatherproof. Seem to have done good in rain and sun. Will see how they overwinter. Did the job!

Very flimsy, expected little more sturdiness. Wire ties have plastic coating, wasn't expecting this either as I needed heat resistant. But should work or I'll buy local wires to tie on with.

I love the scalloped edge and the thickness of the aluminum ~ These are wonderful little garden tags. I have so many trees, flowers and shrubs and I love to know their names. I think I have 10 clematis vines and each one has a different pruning technique. I highly recommend these garden tags.

I have tried many kinds of ID tags for my plants and among those that I have tried, these plant ID tags lasts for a long time in all kinds of weather. This is how plant ID tags should be,I have ordered a few of these for me and gifted some to my friends who are also into plants and we all love how sturdy these tags are,

These were unfortunately quite flimsy and only came with the same, short twisty-ties you get with a loaf of bread and cheap, non zip locking style kitchen storage bags.They're extremely thin; thinner than a soda can and, after attaching several twist-ties together to make long enough to place in my garden, many of the labels ripped and fell off their twist ties.The one upside to these and the fact that they are so super thin is that it makes them easy to indent to permanently "engrave" a flower name on the tag.To do so, I printed flower names on paper to get my desired font size & style.I placed some junk mail under each aluminum label prior to the next step to allow it to become indented properly.Then I centered each printed plant nameover the aluminum label and traced over the printing.The result was nicely and permanently indented plant names that are on super cheap and flimsy labels.This fall/winter I am going to use some caulk and old soda cans and glue the plant labels to one or two layers of aluminum can AFTER "engraving" the plant names in said labels, to see it that gives them some lasting durability.**I found some jewelry wire to use in place of the cheap, paper coated, thin wire twist-ties that were included with these and it looks SO MUCH BETTER!

I tried a different brand than I have used in the past. While these seem sturdy you are unable to engrave with a pen. I even tried a stamp kit without success. Waste of my money.
