... used a few different types of cold Air Intakes like aFe, KNN etc
I have used a few different types of cold Air Intakes like aFe, KNN etc... This intake system fits perfect with no mods or tweaking needed, its quality built and doesnt feel cheap, the instructions are in color plus it gives you order number should you need to replace anything. I am very impressed.I have no review on milage increase or decreases nor have I towed with it yet. But just buy seat of the pants feel, feels like I lost a little torque on the low to mid but whoa, right at about 2300 RPM hang on it really kicks in and pulls. Dont get me wrong it pulls very hard all through the band just much more in the top end vs the stock filter. It did not make my turbo any louder or my exhaust on normal driving. But when I put the pedal to the medal, man my truck sounds good. So far I like the system and am impressed with craftsmen ship and attention to detail.(note: this is installed on an 2006, Ford F350 FX4, with 81K miles, head studded, exhaust 4in turbo back, SCT tuner running the performance can tune 3:73 gearing, bullet proofed.)UPDATE: 8/2016Now that I have towed using this system I have to say it works well. The low end torque loss really was not a factor while towing. I have towed several different loads with this intake, 6,000, 10,000 and 15,500 pounds and have towed them all with no problems. I spoke with several mechanics regarding this upgrade and the majority stated there is no real improvement and I now run the risk of dusting my turbo. Well, having put about 20K miles on my truck with this filter system my turbo and the intake take tubes are spotless. And yes I am that anal that I check to see if there is any dusting. I clean my filter every 3K miles whether it needs it or not and after I return from a trip towing heavy. It is nice having the added airflow at the higher rpm range and notice my truck does run better while towing overall. Also it's much much easier to get to the filter to clean vs paying for an entire new stock filter every 3K miles. Over all I am still very happy with this intake and still recommend it. I wish I could comment on EGT's while towing but I purchased this system before I did any significant towing. All of my previous towing experiences were with 4-5K pound loads on my stock filter. In that load range I really have not seen a big difference. But I am also running a 4 inch exhaust from the turbo back which really helps keep the egt's down. I apologize for the long post and hope this helps who ever reads my ramblings come to a decision.

Amazing
So first off id like to say holy moly this thing arrived so quick. It gave me a 1 week estimate, but it arrived overnight. I am in texas. Anyways ive never done something like this myself, but i needed to replace my old oem filter assembly because it was getting warped. So this took me a few hours doing it my first time. Directions are very thorough. Just make sure to thoroughly read them or you'll have to redo it all a second time like me because you forgot a clamp at the very beginning. It comes with everything youll need. It fits perfectly without modifications in my 2006 f250 6.0. It does have a list of tools needed, but some others will probably help. Looks a whole lot nicer & swapping filters/cleaning them will go a lot more quicker with this new assembly. I have no clue whether it adds performance or anything. I just needed a replacement & this 1 did just that. Some shop quoted me $550 for a new oem assembly installed. This one was half that price & its better!

love it
I decided to purchase this intake because the stock intake boot that attaches to the turbo on my truck had a small melted hole allowing unfiltered air into my engine. Anyways that part was going to cost me 70 bucks and I needed to replace my stock filter and that was another 70 bucks. So I figured what's another 150 to get a upgrade.. the main plus to this intake is the ability to easily remove the filter element and clean it. So after 4 or 5 cleaning intervals, the intake pays for it self !!! It looks really good inside the engine bay also. I would say it is as durable, if not even better than oem equip. Can't say enough good things about it. I love it. Truck runs awesome with it. Can't really tell any difference in sound or performance, but my EGT'S seem to be lower. However I haven't had a chance to tow with it yet.. hopefully the egts will remain to be lower than before. Will see.

Nice intake, wish they would have included the MAF grommet
Seems to be high quality, I purchased this as a replacement for an Airaid intake I had previously installed. I like that it is sealed over the filter, reduces turbo noise and will hopefully keep the filter clean for longer. One problem I ran I ran into: this kit requires that you re-use the factory grommet where your MAF sensor plugs into the intake tube. My previous aftermarket intake did not require that factory grommet be re-used, so I tossed it years ago. This meant that I had to re-use the entire intake tube from my old intake, so basically I could only use the new intake housing and filter from this S&B kit. Not the end of the world since everything seated up nicely, but disappointing that they couldn't include a $0.50 grommet on a $300 intake.

Looks good fits good
Got it today put it on in 30 40 mins drove it around the block. So dont know how well it performs. Everthing seemed built well and it went together fairly easy worst part was getting the tube through the filter housing.Update* drove it around all day today and it does have a lil better throttle response dont notice any more noise out from under the hood. So far happy with my purchase.

Nice piece and worth the money. Attention to detail
This is a top notch assembly. I am at the 500hp mark and needed a better air filter and am NOT a firm believer in the pipe and dangling air filter setups that cost more than this.Install was easy and here is a tip, I was able to re-use the OEM intake horn from the turbo to the piece that holds the MAF sensor. I like it better because not only did I not have to mess with the CCV (routed to a racor filter and back) but it retained the bolts that hold it to the FICM making the entire assembly more rigid.I used the shorter of the included rubber sleeves and it fit perfect.

Good fit and finish
The fit was good when I was finished. Took a bit to get the individual pipes to line up and have the entire filter look good. I'm happy with the final finish and looks a lot better then the other aftermarket filter I had installed several years back.As for performance the filter seems to breath very well under load. I have a work truck not a race truck so I cant say if it really adds anything to performance.

Still good 2 years later.
I was skeptical but it worked as is and is still running. Cheaper price than anywhere else and it was shipped quick. The deacriu is on point.

Needs a water drain in the bottom of air box
Prone to sucking in water while on the highway in heavy rain
