Red Lantern 26" Floral Blue & White Vase Lamp

Absolutely gorgeous lamp and shade. I wanted something high quality, and this was it.

I marry oriental accents to the classical style I have in my home. Together they create the desired serene elegance I wish to achieve in my décor scheme. These lamps (I bought two) are well made and somewhat larger in person than pictured. The colors are a bit muted. I have seen more vivid blue and the white is subdued, not unlike the color of the sky on an overcast day. The fabric shade is well made, not flimsy, with classic oriental lines. It comes with a nice looking gold finial, but I decided to finish the look by getting the oriental finial that is offered in combination with the lamp. These are good value for the price. They arrived well-packaged within the two-day stipulated time frame.

We recently moved from China to Texas. I have decorated our dining room and master bedroom with artifacts from our sojourn there. But we needed something more to pull together the master bedroom. These lamps have done that beautifully. The base is lovely and the shade helps the lamp to shed a warm glow.We love the double happiness symbol and the myth it recalls. (A man was going to an job interview with the king, but became sick along the way. A kindly villager took him in and nursed him to health. While at the villager's home, the man fell in love with his daughter. The daughter said to him, "I will marry you if you can find out the second part of this two line poem." The man, now healthy, went on his way to the king. At his interview, the king said, "You can have the job, if you can find out the first part of this two line poem." The daughter's line and the king's line were two halves of the same poem. So the myth reminds us of the wonderful times in life when things just fit together perfectly in ways we never could have anticipated.)I highly recommend this lamp!

Product not as described and does not match existing lamps in LR. Packing was lacking, socket was bent in shipment. Returning 2 lamps. Asked Amazon to refund our money, and the process took awhile, and instead of refunding our money in the manner in which we paid, by credit card, Amazon issued an Amazon gift card, with no visibility on the card balance, which was a PITA, but we eventually used up the credit with new purchases.

I bought 2 of these lamps for living room end tables.Cons: The blue on this lamp is NOT navy blue as shown in the photo. The blue is more like faded jeans. So if you want to match navy blue furniture, or want a deep navy...keep looking. A bit pricey since the color was not exactly what I hoped for.Pros: I did like the Asian design. The design was not super crisp but is very attractive. The lamp shades are beautiful and expensive looking. The simple wooden finials fit correctly. The lamp harps fit correctly. Easy to assemble. The lamps were carefully packed in solid styrofoam and arrived without any shipping damage.

I redecorated a bedroom to use a family heirloom cherry bedroom set... moderate four poster bed, highboy chest, dresser and bedside tables. I needed a special touch in the lamps to keep it traditional without being 'old fashioned'. I looked 'everywhere' trying to find just this kind of lamp... a bit of elegant oriental. The white silk pagoda shaped shade really sparkles in a room with 'almost navy' walls, white crown molding, and white sheers. Also great is that these take 3-way bulbs so you can set the light level just how you want it. Beautiful lamps, good price!!!

Absolutely stunning! I have a pair on a console table that sits behind a love seat. The blues are a vibrant blue. My daughter fell in love with them, as she is a collector of blue & white porcelain. So for Christmas there will be one under her tree. I have it with Christmas gifts ready for wrapping! They look like some very expensive porcelain lamps and your friends will envy you!Carroll
