Goes on well..no idea yet on durability
No idea if this will prove to be durable or value for money but decided to go for a premium brand and I'm pleased with the ease of applicant and coverage. It brings out the natural grain and colour of the wood and gives it a very slightly just wet/drying type look which is pleasing to the eye. Our pergola and deck is south facing so time will definitely tell if this product does actually provide protection from the UV. I've put on one coat which seemed to be enough and nearly used 2.5l on a 3x3 metre deck with a based pergola structure.

It does what it says it does
I was a little hesitant at first as this is not cheap. However, having done so, I am very pleased with the results. I applied the oil with a brush, as only a thin coat is required and I felt that using a brush was more controllable, although it can be applied with a roller. The oil gives the wood a wet look finish, see my photo. I would suggest that before buying wet the wood you wish to oil to make sure that you are happy with the finish. It is quite easy to have too much oil on the brush as it is quite thick and I found a little does indeed go a long way.All in all I am very pleased with the finish and once dry, probably a day or so depending on the weather, it is water repellent.

Great finish.
I have used Osmo indoors in the past, this outdoor wood protection is second to none. Wood protected totally but you definitely need two coats.Well worth the money and easy to put on. First coat with brush to get all the joints, second coat with a roller. Don't worry about reviews stating colour change, it's just like varnishing new wood, same type of effect.Excellent product.

Better than usual wood preservers.
Applies easily and dries quickly. Very impressed especially the tinted variety

Pricey, but a great finish and a little goes a long way
Expensive, but looks great. Used it to give a nice finish to some Siberian Larch that I used to clad a DIY garden room project. The 2.5l tin managed 2 coats, which is recommended. The wall is 12’x9’, and then the window surround and 4’x16’ overhang, to give you some idea of how far it goes. Well worth the moneyThe last photo is 2 years on. Just topped it up with a single coat. None of the Siberian larch has turned grey- caused by UV. A great product

Super easy to apply
Very pleased with this product on my new summer house. Waited a couple of months to apply this protection oil and it has rejuvenated the natural cedar wood colour beautifully. Very easy to apply and has a delicious malt whisky aroma in stead of chemically stinky applications. Spreads excellently too. I bought twice as much as was eventually required so I have plenty to reapply in a year or two. Worth the extra!
