"Stars of the Meadow" is a very practical and useful book. It informs us how flower essences heal using the chakra system as the scaffolding for understanding how the physical and psychologic issues we face in our day-to-day lives are due to imbalances in the energetic (aka chakra) system. In addition, the introduction is an excellent primer of how flower essences work and how to use them. The book has two main practical features: (1) a detailed description of the characteristics of the flower essences prepared from 48 flowering plants, mainly those common to the Northeast/Ne England and (2) a detailed cross reference outlining common conditions ("The Repertory") and what flower essences are known to heal these issues.As a MD and Flower Essence Practitioner, I refer to this book frequently to help choose essences for my patients. It is one of the most important backbones of my flower essence library.

I have attended many courses by David Dalton, use very many of his amazing essences in my work. Still refer to this book for well written descriptions of the flowers' wise revelations. My, there is so much we can learn from nature. We can heal so much of ourselves and others by having eyes opened wide!

This is a book about flower essences. I heard David Dalton speak at the Anthroposophical Society in New York several years ago. He definitely spends his time with the flowers and he knows his material. This is a nice book covering 48 plants. I especially liked it because he covers some plants I have not worked with and haven't even thought to essence. There's an introductory section on the use of flower essences and the chakras. There is a segment for each flower. At the end there is a repertory of conditions which is very useful. It's very nicely done, and it is appropriate for beginners or advanced users. It is a lovely book to read just for pleasure, but there's plenty of content for the practitioner or user of flower essences. This is a wonderful addition to my library of flower essence books.

This guy is a genius w flower essences, which I know from going to him as a patient. His knowledge base combined w near magical intuition make him a powerful shaman in the alt health field. Especially effective treating Lyme disease.

David's book 'Stars of the Meadows' gives a very detailed and new insight in some of the known and lesser known plants. A must buy for those who wish to go beyond Bach's flower remedies in their practice.
