Can't taste purple but great product
Socket sealer. Say it with me. Socket sealer. Alliteration can be so much fun. Okay, now with that out of our system, down to brass tacks. I love these. They're cheap and easy to install. They block the draft that is sure to come out of an electrical outlet or a light switch. I've used these in apartments and in houses. They work both ways. Just unscrew the plate, slap one of these bad boys in, and screw the plate back in. Just be sure to not touch metal to metal or skin to metal. It's a good idea to flip the breaker to deactivate the outlets you're installing these on. Otherwise you'll give yourself a nice jolt. Or three. You know how everyone tells you not to stick a fork into an outlet? Same principle applies here except your finger is the fork and you can't taste purple for a while. So do yourself the favor of flipping the breaker before installing these. Don't make the same mistake as I did. Once. Or maybe three times. I can't remember too good now.

Seriously works well all year, saves money
These sealers insulate so well. We could feel a cold draft through our house last winter until I narrowed down the source to the sockets. Now we're draft-free and warm. Saves on the energy bill, too.One year later, and we can really tell a difference year-round. Apparently the house's insulation didn't cover the sockets, but these sealers did. Besides staying cooler last summer, the house heats up more quickly, stays much warmer, and is less expensive to heat this winter, and these sealers are the only change we've made. Everyone should install these!Update to reviews: I read reviews that said these are too small. I live in an old home in which insulation was added later, and some of the sockets were in a bigger hole. I just cut some other covers to get strips, used masking tape to add the strips to the outside of the precuts, and it solves the problem of the insulators being too small. I also read reviews about only covering the outside walls' sockets. I covered the inside walls' sockets, too, because we were getting as much cold air through those as the outside walls' sockets. These really do work.

Excellent Idea - not worth time or effort - typically to narrow GFP outlet, and outlet
The idea to my understanding was to block air flow and bugs, a barrier. I Removed two outlets Ground Fault Protector (GFP) and a Standard Outlet. The foam did not cover or close the gap/opening between the outlet and the sheet rock on both vertical sides, horizontal sides were okay. . Perhaps this product is meant for Euriope where outlets are narrower, this is a WAG. I believe the majority of outlet cover sizes in the USA were standardized over 50 years ago. If the foam was about one inch wider would give the a much better review - will eventually trash - would be nice also to know the thermal rating on this foam.

Product Easy To Use; Too Small For The Purpose.
These insulators are good as far as they go; easy to use. Biggest issue: the outside dimensions are too small. I feel certain that some product engineer crafted them to fit just outside of the electric junction box; a good way to save on manufacturing costs. That sounds good; however, carpenters do not cut the wall boards perfectly to fit "just outside" of the junction box. So, with the 32 of these that I have used so far, none completely cover the gap under the switch plates. I'm not sure what I have accomplished by using these since all of the outlets that I have "insulated" so far have gaps between the insulator and the wall cuts under the switch plates. Am I missing something here?

For the price it’s well worth it.
I was surprised at how much cold air was entering my rooms when I pulled off some cover plates because the outlets felt cold to me. I pulled off a few and there was actually a small breeze that could be felt in an addition I recently built that had adequate insulation, house wrap and vinyl siding. I guess I was not cautions enough when wrapping and or cutting the insulation to go around my roughed in boxes. I purchased another kit and put these around everything that’s on an outside wall because they’re cheaper than heating the cold air that was leaking into the rooms. We get a lot of strong winds here so there’s noting I can do to the outside so this small step was a no-brainer. If you’re electrical boxes are hacked in with a lot of open space around them… like some of mine in the older parts of the house… some self adhesive window flashing will cover the gaps and it’s easy to cut it to fit. I may have to invest in a leak detector because I know there’s more cold air getting in than what I’ve found so far.

These make for a great option!
They seem to be a perfect option for many reasons with only a single tiny flaw we found.1) They are an affordable option (at least at the moment of writing this) when comparing them to some of the other options out there. They also work just as good if not better in various ways.2) You get a good number of them per box.3) They are indeed flame retardant. This was a HUGE deal when comparing to some of the other options we had laying around. We took a few other options that claimed to be retardant and lit them to find out they lit up like a candle. These ones, however, burned where they got hit by a flame and stopped (no spread). As you can see in the image. We held a flame to it for 4 seconds for that piece in the image. (update: I guess they aren't letting us post the picture for some reason...that makes their policies feel a little shady here)The only flaw? The decorative switch ones (only 4 in each pack) have a gap around the switch itself which prevents it from being a really good seal. It is still enough to make a difference (creating somewhat of a seal), but it isn't perfect in any way. It's a tiny flaw, but if half the pack contained these, this would lower the score. In this situation, we didn't see that as necessary. So, we felt these to be an excellent option for your home for both function and fire safety. You'll feel better at night using these vs some of the other options out there, and your insurance will love you to (god forbid, something happens where they have to even know about them).

Wall plates CAN NOT rest flat to the wall
This product is very good and can offer a great relief if you are considering it to battle the drift. However, you should first closely investigate the wall plates to see if there is enough room to put a 3-4 mm foam into it or not. IF not, the wall plates are separated from the wall, leaving a noticeable gap which I did not appreciate. With plastic wall plates, you can not tighten the screw since it will break the plate, and adds to your troubles. However, I have to say, if you are not concerned about the gap that it might cause, it is a great product, and it has a very high quality. I wish the price was a little bit lower since right now, it is on the pricier side. Also, these are very good to avoid any bugs crawling into your home. For example, if you are living in an apartment, bed bugs can easily transverse from your neighbours to your home. So, in my case, I have used an Insectigone Bedbug and Flea Killer Powder and then installed the foams, and voila, problem solved!

Buy if you have the old style switches, don't buy if you have the new style light switches...
The foam seems...cheaper than the mainstream brands but you are also paying less in many cases (CAD dollars), and ease of use is straight forward.I have all rectangle, new style switches and there are only a few in the box and more old style than new so I ran out after doing 6 switches.Wall plugs are fine, these are a must if your home builder did not seal the boxes when it was built and you will see a reasonable reduction in cold air infiltration over winter.A good buy!

This is only value for money if you most of your receptacles are "Duplex" and not "Decora"
This is only value for money if you most of your receptacles are "Duplex" and not "Decora". If your home have mainly Decora type of receptacles, only 2 will fit and you'll have to cut your own using the "Duplex" one. But almost immediately I could see my outlet changed from "Full cover 18C" to "18C only in the holes, the overall cover is 20C". So yes, it works. Do it to all the receptacles mounted on the inside of the exterior walls and should help the heat loss.

Lot of choices for outlets
Bought this primarily to kind of shield the apartment unit from smoke from smoker at the adjoining unit seeping into the outlets and leaking into children's bedroom. So far to good. My only grip is that all of my outlets need the large rectangular cutouts and I can't use the other cutouts (but I would think other people can)

Perfect cut, proper thickness, high quality foam
Bought and installed in Jan/2021. I've read other reviews of Frost King and other cheap socket sealers being way too thin or tearing easily. These Duck Brand socket sealers have no such problems - properly thick, cut perfectly to standard dimensions, and the punchouts for the sockets, switch, and screwholes come out easily and perfectly. This is an excellent product and it does the best it can at being a socket sealer - meaning that it will block a draft and cold air as best as a few millimetres-thick piece of foam can. Don't expect huge heating cost savings, but it sure is better than nothing - every little bit helps.
