So far so good with this flag holder. I just bought it this summer. It will be taken down for the winter.No complains if this is what you are looking to hang a garden flag.

I loved this to hang a little garden flag on indoors! It's nicely finished with the caps on the end of the dowel rod.

It would be better if it was tighter and the silver piece was attached to one side so it doesn't fall

This item is unnecessarily expensive for something that can be handmade for $8 from a craft store. I bought this to hang up a tapestry piece I have in my room, but when I received the item I was confused and my mom told me to return it (which I did).Appearance-wise: The “strings” being used to hold the rod up are shoelaces, and the rod itself (while detachable in the middle) consistently detaches with poor support. If you want a rod without the effort of buying the string and wood pieces and the tacky shoeless, this might be your cup of tea.Quality and durability: It honestly does a pretty okay job at holding up light weight tapestry items, but you will need to be mindful of the attachment in the middle and that it will likely split if you place heavier items on it.
