Slider Puzzle with a Twist!
If you like Slider Puzzles->(slide blocks around board to get specified object to it's exit), then you will love this game!! I am a slider puzzle freak, loved them in the Prof.Layton series(was always wishing for more of em!lol) Well, I just got my copy of Treasure Chase in today so I'm not very far into the game yet, only have about 14 puzzles done so far, but i knew there wasn't a review up for it and I know how they help me when deciding to purchase a game or not! The concept is pretty simple, slide the blocks around the board to get your treasure chest to the exit, but....here's the beginning of the twist-> 1st, the blocks don't move in ALL directions, only the direction they're placed in length, they're all rectangular, next I got these "bridge" type blocks (only slide longways also)-> as long as there's no block under them, which means you gotta get that block out in order to move the bridge...and so on. My next surprise was the "spring" block, which makes things even more interesting. You are given a set amount of moves that you SHOULD be able to do the puzzle in, if you do it within that set amount you get a "Perfect" with 3 stars, go over the set amount and you will only get 2 or 1 star, I've not gotten as low as 1 star yet, but have gotten several 2 stars, BUT....what I really like, you can "replay" your puzzles, to which I've replayed a few of em a few times to achieve my "Perfect" 3 stars and a couple of those 2 stars I'll go back later and try to "perfect" them~LOL The Graphics are absolutely awesome~I'm 53 and my eyes aren't quite what they used to be, so some games I have to put my "reading" glasses on, but not with this game! Very crisp and clear, I am quite pleased with this game! As for the sound, I'm not one that gets into that too much on any game, so most the time my volume is down/off. I did have it up for a bit and realized it could be "helpful" in the fact that when I go over the set amount of moves you hear a "ping" sound!! Wether that helps anyone or not, dunno, just thought I'd mention it! Another thing is if you have a DSi, which I don't so this doesn't benefit me, you can get "extra" puzzles by focusing your camera on these code blocks in the booklet that comes with your games!?!? Just thought I'd mention that for ya! Also with this game there's a multi-player function, which I like cuz me and my Grandgirl play alot of games together....so next time she's over we'll be givin this a shot and I'll update my review! Hope this all helps anyone unable to decide wether to get this game! I love it and would highly suggest getting it if you are a puzzler like me!! Good Luck and happy gaming!

Fun Sliding Blocks Game
Each puzzle is on a 2D grid that has variously-arranged blocks that are one unit wide and of variable lengths. Your goal is to slide a treasure chest block to a specially-marked square on the edge of the grid. To do this you will need to slide the blocks all around, however the catch is, is that all blocks can only be slid in their lengthwise direction. In the main section there are 160 puzzles divided into groups of 10 that each include 2 optional hard puzzles. New puzzles regularly introduce new concepts that keep gameplay fresh, such as blocks made of: magnets, springs, ice, 'snakes'(that can be shaped how you want), sets that only move in conjunction with each other, and more. There is also a bonus section that has 200 more puzzles that are composed mostly of only regular blocks of two or three units long and a single treasure chest; however occasionally there are multiple chests and sometimes bridge blocks.Pros:* The puzzles are generally well-designed and IMO fun to figure out.* There is no time pressure(Your one to three star rating is based solely on how few moves it took you).* You can undo or redo as many of your moves as you want while playing.* A step-by-step solution guide is available for all puzzles except for the optional hard ones.Cons:* Except for the optional hard ones, each puzzle must be solved before the next one can be played.Comments:This game is a variation of a classic puzzle game that is probably best known under the name of Rush Hour . Personally I found this game to be fun and relaxing to play.

Reasonably challenging, if you are inclined to be challenged this way
It's a reasonably simple game, but it provides the kind of puzzle entertainment I find compelling. I have been playing "Treasure Chase" for may months. I've done all of the standard "adventure" track puzzles, all of the bonus puzzles, and am now down to the last scannable board from the instruction booklet. It took me this long because I only spend may be 15-20 minutes a day playing it, and because I have strived to get a perfect score on every board. The one huge flaw for me is the lack of visual clues to show the optimal solution when you completely give up on getting a puzzle resolved. The "solve the puzzle" option simply skips the current puzzle. The challenge level is reasonable. While many puzzles were solvable in a few minutes, some boards took many days to get right. One has been impossible for me to get in the "optimal" number of moves -- I always end up being one move over the "perfect" mark. Why not give it 5 stars, then? The lack of a solution/hinting mechanism mentioned above is one issue. The music/audio wasn't bad the first few days I played the game, but over time became irritating. While the number of puzzles is extensive, it's not nearly as impressive when one takes into account the lack of replayability. And I felt somewhat cheated when I managed to solve a number of puzzles in fewer moves than the "perfect" threshold suggested by the game. If it's "perfect", shouldn't it be absolutely the minimal number of moves?Summary: At the list price, it's a 4-star game. At the current price I see on Amazon it's a 5-star "should buy" game.

Treasure Chase - Good game
I had been waiting for this game for a long time. Some of the chests are hard to get out but some are easy. I was trying to get 4 chests out and all of a sudden they were out.To this day I do not know how I did it. You only had to make one move and wow, done. I am working on one chest and have no idea how to do it. I have tried several ways and no chancy. It is a shame because I cannot move to the next one. Maybe if I look somewhere on the internet I may find a solution. Wish me luck. Don't let this stop you from buying the game, maybe you can figure out how to get the chest out.
