This works as expected but has a great lid that seals in cast it is dropped.

I purchased this for my husband to use at home, after being discharged from an acute rehab. facility. This urinal is SO MUCH NICER than the cheap, flimsy urinals used in hospitals; plus, the protected edge at the opening is so much kinder to his male 'appendage' (the hospital urinals have a very rough, raw, thin edge). The long neck of this urinal is also a bonus feature, since it is much more practical in both design and function, and it also helps to prevent accidental spillage. In addition, the blue color of the urinal keeps the contents 'discreet' until it can be emptied, therefore allowing the patient to avoid the embarrassment of having urine sitting in full view if/when unexpected visitors stop by! We are very pleased with this small- yet largely important- item, and highly recommend it for both at-home and travel use!

You can definitely use it a couple of times before empty it out.

I like the size of this bottle, it'll take a full nights worth but it is not leak proof, if there is any liquid in it, it will drip out through the cap if tilted; always make sure you carry it with the spout up.

This an industrial-strength version of the cheap urinals they use in hospitals. I'm very pleased with it.
